Oh My God! Pp Monthly!!

Very nice, Callire. Nice pearl on a lovely neck.

Why does your photo show up, but Sheryl, Steve and mine are still pending approval?Hmm?

Yes, I would be interested too in knowing how these pictures could take such a long pending time. They were here yesterday too. Perhaps something for our administrator to look into?:)

Photo approval

Just received a pm from Caitlin that she would look into the photo approval issue.

For those of you whose photos are awaiting for approvals, you can post your photos as part of your albums and create a link in your message to point to those photos.

I have to admit I have been logging onto the forum several times a day (way too many) just to check if I can view other members' photos.

I am so ashamed... I was supposed to sit and save and not to give away money... but I could not resist... not at all... no willpower...

Anyway, here it is, a 36 inch rope with 8,5-9,0mm blue akoya.
I am still recovering from my own escapade.
But it is just smashing!

Olga, they are beautiful.
I'm waiting for my 2 strands of 9.5-10mm. I want to make one rope out of them. I really hope they will be as nice as yours... sometimes, bigger they are, less beautiful they become, but I wanted 9-10mm silver pearls for ages and I thought that I will have to spend way too much on Tahitian silver... and nice baroques silver ones are not dime in a dozen.... This Akoya special came to me like a gift from heven...

>>>kicking myself harder for not getting any!

Ah well, until next time

Very nice strand of rope, Olga! :D

DK ;)

These pearls look so lovely on you Olmander and Callire. I am thoroughly happy that I was able to get these incredibly unique pearls. I'm certainly no expert but the beauty of these pearls seem to also lie in its ability to complement any skin tone!

I'm wondering how you (Olmander/Olga) were able to get that 36-inch rope?!!!!!!!!!!! Totally blown away by that!

Good for you! Wow. Now I wish I had purchased some more so I could make a rope. You look absolutely elegant. ;)

Probably the same as what I would do - get two of 18in and ask the nice people at PP to string it as a double, with a bit a saving on the second clasp too! :)

I think that's the other way around. Page 7 for members. Pending of course :D

Hmmm, I can now view the previously pending photos that are on page 7--finally! Lovely ones each of you received! Olga, yours are amazing! I do think a long strand is wonderful, perhaps a bit more casual, and the luxe feeling of it doubled, ever so fun! Just were not to be for me this time around, but I will go play with my platinum SS and recuperate a bit from jealousy---------sorry if I missed anyone with compliments--these akoya are soooooo shiny and have such pretty overtones they surely will be gorgeous on everyone-----------

WILLPOWER IS BORING!!! Your pearls are absolutely exquisite, Olga - such a lovely mirror surface and gorgeous color. Congratulations. Guilt is a worthless emotion, particularly when it comes to new pearls!;)

Willpower is boring? Does that mean being a profligate spendthrift makes me interesting? ;)

I would like to think so, as I lack willpower when it comes to spending myself. I have to stop spending for a while on non-essentials as the pot is empty! :D

I spent way over what I should have in the past few months, comfort spending I guess to compensate the loss of my partner :(

The belt has to be tightened, as I am going to HK for week in Oct 09 with my mum, for great food and great shopping opportunities :D

I wish I had purchased the silver blue baroque Akoyas though, as they are really lovely and would suit my skin tone well  Nevermind :)

DK ;)

I would love the really BIG ones?
Here in Miami Beach, a clandestine (somewhat unfocused) shot of my wife's 9.0/9.5mms in the Florida sunshine.

Hope it's approved soon!
