Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Here goes with another necklace. Dark green body Tahitians, my first Tahitian necklace that I got through a friend in the business. Not the best pictures but you get the idea. I do love this strand.

Beautiful T’s and are they a pair of Paloma Picasso squiggle earrings I spy? 😍

Okay — deep breath; I’m going to post my first photos of a necklace. This is a south sea harvest strand I commissioned from Cees about 2 months ago. On my neck I’m wearing it doubled. It also comes apart into 2 strands when I want to wear it shorter.
Gorgeous harvest strand! Love the colours and mix of shapes!

Thanks so much, CatMom! I was able to scoot through the tunnels and keep up with the tunnel guide with no problem, but most of my friends had a difficult time maneuvering the tight spaces and it took them quite a while to surface. Visions of Winnie the Pooh stuck in Rabbit’s hole. They were pretty miserable, but we had the best laugh debriefing over coconut coffee at one of the many Cong Ca Phe’s afterwards.

Thanks, BWeaves. The necklace is actually quite light. You look so bright and springy! Love those colors!

Haha! Yes, Red, the pearl that somehow clinged to my coat and was fortunately found. It’s a really pretty pearl.

Two SS and Tahitian ombre necklaces from Kojima with earrings I made with Tahitians and Myanmar golden SS. And something new! I love this cool, edgy bracelet from Kojima. It’s super lightweight. Sarah thought the discs might be ebony wood. Combined with vintage Akoya.:giggle:

Your ombré strands never cease to make me smile @jeg , especially with the placement of a single large / baroque pearl - it’s beautiful!

And sorry to hear about Traveling Bunny, glad to see you’ve made a new friend to take with you on your adventures 💛

You are quite observant Pomelo. Yes, those are the Picasso squiggle earrings. Thanks for the compliments. I have fallen very hard for pearls in the last 8 months. It really is a disease. I can't discuss this with my husband -- I just hope he doesn't notice too much except to say something nice. But then again, I am spending my own money, so it's my problem, isn't it?

Thanks so much, Pella, Syrie, Pattye and Pomelo!

Oooo, Syrie, what a fantastic start! Your very first post is fabulous. I’m happy to see you join us to play!

Two strands I put together with Tahitians from CMW and JNB. Metal discs made by a San Francisco artist that I added Akoya to, and my new bracelet from Kojima.

Thank you Jeg. Your jewelry collection gives us all something to aspire to. By the way I love your dresses. They’re very interesting and unusual.

Two photos of the Tahitian rope I wore to work today, along with a snapshot of the earrings. The rope is two strands that I had harpoon clasps made for so that it could be an endless rope or 2 strands. Everything came from Roberto Lay’s Pearl Society.

Thanks BWeaves! Thanks Syrie, I do love comfy clothes. I love your Tahitian rope and its versatility!

A Japan Kasumi pendant on a Kasumi keshi chain, and a Kasumi keshi necklace, all from Kojima. I put the tiny Kasumi keshi necklace together.

Thanks Jeg and BWeaves. This rope is versatile when I break it in two. I like to wind one of the strands with a strand of Tahitian keshis into a torsade. The result suits me really well. I'll post a photo soon.

My Sea of Cortez pearls! I purchased the pearls (individually) from Carolyn Ehret (Druzydesign & Druzydesign1) and I hand fabricated the 22kg beads. She indicated that the pearls were from an early harvest, 20+ years ago.

Purple FW pearls from a PP Live event that I made into a tin cup, and a pair of pecan charms from Kojima that slid right over the leverbacks I usually wear.

I remember Hisano matching these into a bracelet mockup!
Thank you so much, Cathy! Can’t wait to see you and Walter!

Starting a new chapter… Introducing the new Bunny and Traveling Pearl. I had a difficult time deciding on a Traveling Pearl. It had to be a PP pearl because Jeremy coined the Traveling Pearl, but I couldn’t decide whether or not to go with another Tahitian. Bunny is currently wearing an early Edison pearl from PP. Looking forward the first trip- we’ll see you at Pearls By The Bay next week!

He's cute ;) I can get used to this!

Wow, Pearlgully! I haven’t seen SOC in larger sizes in a long time. It’s beautiful!

Thanks Jeremy! The purple pearls and new Bunny will both be with me this weekend. Looking forward to catching up with you!!!

I’m wearing Tahitian keshis today. This is a combo I wear pretty frequently. The shorter necklace is from Pearl Society. The longer necklace is from a PP live event, and the earrings are from Misha Hawaii, with a boost: I took the drop pearls on the ends from one of the strands I posted yesterday and added them to the earrings to make them more attractive.

@Syrie I was wearing my Misha Hawaii today too! A very summery-feeling mother-of-pearl bead coil bracelet with silvery Tahitians, and a white keshi ring. I had a cute little Tahitian drop necklace that I would also show, but my baby has the pearl in her tiny grip and she’s napping hard after a pediatrician checkup and I dare not disturb her so you all will have to miss out!
