Some of my odd pearl creations

I have some similar FW, tissue grown that are 15 - 16mm.. very similar appearance. And some nice strands, with great lustre and a very clean surface that are 12 - 14mm.

Fabulous earrings!!! Thankyou... do you still have lots of kamoka goodies to play with?

Those earrings are gorgeous! My non-expert opinion is FW too. They don't look very satin-y to me.

That is a very merry necklace. Springlike. I like your use of pearl size and color changes and the fairy is adorably dancing over them. Looks like a Dogwood flower fairy. Spring is here!

I think those small pearls are really nice. I am loving small and tiny pearls for several weeks now.

Thanks for your feedback, Nerida...happily, I didn't really pay South Sea prices for them (though a little more than I would have liked for FW, particularly with the surface flaws...so it goes...).

I have a few more Kamoka goodies in my archives...I do not believe in restraint!:D

Hi Sheri,

very lovely designs and those earrings really are imposing! Nice photos. As for the question if they could be SS or FWPs - my guess is FWPS as they are not round but more oval/potatoe shaped and also the colour as I see it on my monitor suggests the same - especially if the smaller pearls at the side are freshwaters.

They are very similar in colour - but that?s just a guess. I don?t think the nucleated freshwater have come that far with roundness as you have bought these pearls some time ago and as Peter told, right now the Chinese have obviously found a way - still that is too near in time. If on the other hand you have paid SS-prices, they really could be nucleated FWPs of the "newest" kind.

Sheri, earrings are just amazing!
I really love your extravagant designs!

The earrings, Sheri, are beautiful, very stylish and unique.
Congratulation on the design, but I think that they should be worn alone without a necklace or other "support".

I really like your designs. Always unusual, always with little something making them different. I'm a big fan of different and of "showy"!!! Your creations are that !!

Keep them coming !!!

Oh yes, absolutely - I know the earrings are fighting with the necklaces in the photo - that picture was taken on the run just to appease Nerida, demanding soul that she is;).

I'm a firm believer in the art of excess, but not to the point of distraction...

I think the earrings will actually work best with my hair up, both for aesthetic and practical (tangly) considerations.

Thanks for your input -

Dear Sheri,

I love your Goth designs, and I know my younger customers would love them, too. New Englanders are a little less conservative then their rep. My customers constantly tell me that they are looking for something "different", and your gorgeous, creative pieces certainly are that!

Give me a call sometime, or send me email (information is on my website).

Best wishes,
Johanna

Thanks, Johanna! I have a lot of even wilder goth pearl creations just begging to escape from the dark twisty corners of my brain...hope to be posting more photos soon, if I can get those creative juices flowing...

In the meantime, look for an email from spoogy.

More fun with my "subpar" Kamokas! "Tribal Elegance" (with earrings to coordinate - fake big-hole-look), "heavy metal" with optional chain extendor, and my "wear-everything-together-like-a-rockstar" look. As mentioned before, I do not believe in restraint. It's been a fun afternoon!:D

I can see you done up in Goth makeup with masses of pearls. They are very glam! ;)

O.K., this latest is obscenely simple, but I have to share...This is an undrilled SS round pearl I just got, just a hair under 19mm. I wanted to be able to let it see the world while I decide what to ultimately do with it. But I just might keep it this way. Think of ripped fishnets...kind of punky...or maybe a pearl in bondage...but happy about it...

My, those freckles are a little scary when enlarged that much:eek:...sorry about that!

So Creative. I really love that idea. I'd like to see the other side. Please tell us what the mesh/thread is. That color is perfect for you. Does it come in clear or other colors? How secure is the pearl in the mesh?

The mesh is from Rio Grande and comes in other colors, but not clear. It's very fine knit metal; feels almost like a coarse organza. I just started playing with it, and through too much handling, got a "run" (like in hosiery) resulting in the open space, which I really love with this pearl. The back side is more closely knit, like at the edges. Even with all of the open space at the front of the pearl, it seems very secure in its "bondage"...
