Noooooooooooooooo! I hope it holds off till Sunday ! It was a bit bumpy on the way in as there had been storms .

As Brady has mentioned, the heat and humidity here is a killer. The A/C in the show is poor at best. I think they have had a system failure ...last few years it's been cold ...now it's stifling . Everyone is complaining., it's pretty uncomfortable. There was a CPAA cocktail party just after the show , Brady filmed up a storm ! So you'll see it all on FB . I had a glass of wine and was ready to fall asleep. Lol

The lack of aircon at the show is killing me! By the time I have set up I need a shower! I (stupidly) wore a suit yesterday thinking that for the actual show days they would make it a pleasant place to be..... I am ditching the suit today and I bet they make it like a fridge ......

I was half joking about wearing swim trunks and a t-shirt today. Not having working air-conditioning in a massive venue like Asia World Expo in one of the hottest and most humid cities on the planet is a MAJOR fail.

That sounds bad. Hope the convention center is better. My flight got pushed back because of the typhoon. I won't get there until tomorrow evening. Doesn't sound like I would have enjoyed the expo much with those conditions.

I'm going to be very disappointed if you aren't in your swim gear today ! At least shorts and a t shirt with flip flops ! It's ridiculous that they haven't managed to fix it . I asked at the info desk and they smiled and said the AC was fine ..as huge industrial fans rolled by lol MAJOR FAIL is right !

Well, maybe the pearl vendors will be more likely to sell off all their inventory at great prices to get out of there quickly! Probably not, but ya never know, right? I hope the AC is repaired by tomorrow and the typhoon holds off or gets weaker.

Omg ! A necklace fan ! You could trade it for pearls over here ! A/C still down ...doesn't look like they are going to get it fixed ... its still dreadful . Seems like staff is getting sick of it ...I don't blame them ..probably working 14 hrs and being paid for 8 and then customers arguing about prices ... I wouldn't be surprised if someone is a victim of Pearl Rage. They've taken a few people out with heat stroke . This is my last night here -tomorrow night it's back home to cold and rain ..Hooray !

There are so many stalls ..lots with ordinary stuff but some who specialise. Here is one place that has tons of teeny weeny pearls . It's a big stand and these 'buckets' go all the way around . Strands as well but more little pearls than you can imagine . 1mm and up

Hand painted with 22kt and set with a gem . Not much English spoken so I may have misunderstood, but it seems like they scratch the pattern
Onto the pearl in some fashion , then paint on the gold. I asked if it was then coated to protect the gold and she said ' no coating' . Not sure how you would keep the gold from scratching off ... but they were all quite amazing !
