Edison pearls?

Has anybody heard or or seen Zhan Weijian's Edison pearls?

Edison pearls come from Grace Pearls

The term refers to bead nucleated freshwater pearls from Grace Pearls. Grace hopes to rival South Sea Pearls with these pearls

As far as I can tell then, these are Edison pearls, though the no-one at Grace described them as such... Each one selected individually by me and then drilled etc etc

Pattye, I agree - not exactly a marketing catchphrase to my ear! BUT, the pearls are gorgeous, no longer fireballs, and Grace deserve to do very well with them....

Is it alright to say, not being anything of an expert in pearls, that I quite liked the fireballs?

Will this mean that the future of pearls will be largely round? I really hope not. I love weird and wonderfully-shaped baroques.
