A casual day today. A keshi necklace I got on eBay. The other was a TJMaxx piece made with sapphire beads but a really crummy pearl. So I replaced it with a beautiful lavender freshwater from Kojima and had the necklace restrung. Although this pearl reads as silver, it’s actually lavender. I wear this necklace all the time.
I'm happy to learn I'm not the only one to rework TJMaxx items. I recently picked up a clearance bracelet with stick freshwater pearls that I plan to rework into .... something. Thinking earrings.
I have a pair of white fireballs that I harvested from 2 TJ’s jadite strands. I combined the 2 strands and turned the fireballs into dangle earrings. I’ll post it sometime. It all worked out well.
If you're reading my Pearl Trip post, YouTube is finally letting me post more videos. So reread the earlier posts, because I may have added more stuff!
I couldn't sleep last night, so I posted a bit more stuff on my Pearl Trip post. It's just a few things stuffed in here or there. It's not something at the end, but in the earlier posts.
I'm off to an international Kumihimo (Japanese braiding) conference (in Cleveland of all places) this morning. See you in a week!
Hello All! I had the great pleasure of catching up with Jeremy and Hisano over dinner last night. And took the opportunity to wear my conch double strand and conch pendant. As promised, here are some long overdue photos. I am no photographer, but I tried to catch the chatoyancy/flame pattern on some of the pearls. The double strand is heavenly. And the pendant really tickles my fancy.
