Love the wolf head. You really do look fantastic in pearls.

Thanks everyone...if I had my way I would dress in all black head to toe every day with my black pearls, silver snakes and spiders :) though it is hardly a practical idea lol.

Not sure I shared the Turquoise wolf head...still playing around with ideas:

Cool and very manly carvings. Guys should think about Tahitian pearls like car chrome = shiny is good!

Thanks GG- I totally agree. We went to a Gem Show this weekend and met Sarah (@Kojima) and her wonderful personality just might've made a pearl convert out of my guest (who cares nothing about jewelry let alone pearls). Now he is asking questions and wants to take the Pearl as One course! If this indeed happens... I just may need to clone Sarah!

Purr- Full disclosure, this was literally my first real Gem show in probably 10 years. I've been to Hobbyist & Antique shows etc, but a jewelry/gem show its been a very very long time.

Oooh, you got to spend time with the amazing Sarah ... isn't she a delight :) ?

Yes & very much so. I quite enjoyed myself. I usually find the gem shows very distracting (too much sparkle overload...literally suffer temporary ADD and can't focus) it was good to have a great conversation and an actual focus lol

Oh, yes, the gem shows tend to be overwhelming; it really does help to have a mission focus and stick to it! I'm hoping to catch the Oaks PA show this weekend, if I can shake the remnants of a head cold ... not the best conditions for concentration.

Cathy!!! For future reference, is the Oaks PA show any good? Is it an Intergem show or a different organizer?

I'm having Gem Show envy, too! Seeing all the pretties AND getting to hang out with Sarah sounds perfect!

It was quite nice. I don't really enjoy the shows crowdedness to be honest... conversing with Sarah was a nice break from all of that tedious walking around and around ( I should've worn the fit bit to measure my steps but forgot).

I know these are not pearls (apologies to all) but someone asked for me to show the Black Spinel necklace when it was done, and I promised to do so. I took too long to do this but this is the end results:

Originally I had Tahitians in place of the Rock Crystal...but I just did not like it, the spinel has funky sparkling shapes and the Amethyst rounds are micro faceted and sparkly, the Rock Crystal has cool spiral faceting breaks up some the darkness where the pearls just got lost, now the panther heads stand out a bit on their own too.
