A new creation...

Here's a set of about 4 mm white FWP - made into a six-strand twisted necklace and matching bracelet (both finished with magnetic clasps) and a dainty pair of "grape" style dangle earrings. Whenever there is something that I find hard to send away to the customer, I think that is worth sharing here with my pearl fraternity... Do let me know what you think please..thanks!!

Ooh! I'd love to see a neck shot! And I love grape cluster type earrings.

I'm not sure I could wear a bulky bracelet, personally, but it's very pretty and I'm sure your customer will spend many happy hours admiring her wrist.

Great luster on the pearls, Amrita, and versatile set. Can they also be worn loose and untwisted? Did you knot between each pearl?

Very nice dressy piece. Can be easily dresses up or down.

Lately the ideas of the smaller pearls jewellery is floating in the air. I think i might get infected too. I was thinking of a long rope of 3 mm pearls to wear a heavy pendant.

Pattye, this set cannot be worn untwisted and loose as the clasp is a fixed one and not the removable kind. But I know the kind you mean - as in this photo...right?



Yes, Dizzie, I think jewelry made from smaller pearls has a charm of its own. Your idea of a 3mm pearl rope with pendant seems nice...

You mean because it's a magnet? I have a number of pieces with a regular clasp that can be worn both twisted and untwisted.

Love those pretty continuous strands with the pearl shortener! I have some like that also.

Pattye, I forgot to answer your question about knotting - there are knots after every few pearls (not individually knotted).
And now I understand what you mean by untwisted and loose - yes these can be worn straight too...Sorry, must have been having a slow day...:/

Thanks for your kind comments, Katbran! Yes, knotting each pearl of this size would not only be a tedious job, it would also take away from the beauty of the strand, I think. Keeping the gentle flow of the pearl strand is so important...
