I agree about the change out of the bail...that really makes the pearl more sculptural, if that makes sense...but I really do like the four strands with it. What are we doing for the ears, fingers and wrists?

Well, if it were me...I wouldn't let go of any of those pearls....but I am somewhat of a pearl hoarder. I would absolutely leave it to Hisano, and have her make something else with the extras. That way you can always change to a 4 strand later.

I think the 3-strand looks better, but I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I think the 3 strand is more proportionate to the peanut. The 4 maybe looks a little like you decided to put an enhancer on a stand-alone strand, whereas to my eye the three looks like it is a designed set. But I suspect that the proportions are hard to see in a picture and might look very different in real life on your neck.

Hisano sent me a couple more pictures. In the previous pictures there were two dark blue and two lighter blue strands. Now be still my heart all dark blue. The Sea of Cortez peanut finally has the perfect setting.



The choice of bale and clasp will be Hisano's. It will be a wonderful surprise
