In searching for the vendor photos vs real life, I came across my report on the Gem Faire. The beading pearls have really come a long way since 2007, but I still love them!
GemGeek -- for someone who has never been to a Gem Faire, can you tell us how beading pearls have "come a long way"? What has happened with the quality, inventory, and prices compared to 7 years ago?
And do you still sing?

I don't have time to sing these days, but I miss it. The beading pearls used to be lower quality. All pearls are getting better, and often, cheaper. I haven't been to the Gem Faire for a while, though. John Tu from Taiko Imports usually goes to China to buy during January, so I won't see him for a while unless he goes to Tucson.
The thing that's great about the Gem Faire is that you can get everything you need in one location - no shipping and no guessing as to what you're purchasing.
