My white metallic freshwater strand, 8-8.5mm

Hey, no complaints here, I got lucky :):D.

(Aaaaaaaand ladies and goims, where does she go upon entering the home? why, straight to Pearl Guide of course, where all the best people go! That's Groucho Marx' commercial voice being channeled, of course - --which will only elicit a "Huh?" from youngsters, perhaps...)

Close! I go to my mail page, where updates from all my subscribed threads from all my favorite forums appear.
Including P-G.

This thread is making me droooooool! Very very nice stuff here ladies! Geeeez, I suddlenly really need earrings to match my fW multi color metallic bracelet...

You know, Pearl Dreams, the metallics look a lot bigger than the freshadama on your neck. On the paper towel, not such a big difference. Do you think it's the color or the slightly off-round shape that makes the metallic strand look so much bigger?

Lisa, They look bigger on the neck because they are a whole mm larger. The Freshadamas are 7-8mm (not 7.5-8mm as they are sold nowadays) and a large per cent of them are in the 7-7.5mm range.

Edit 1/28/14: See the following thread to understand why that 1mm makes such a huge difference in the pearl size-- 8mm pearls are 49% greater by volume than 7mm pearls

On the paper towel the Freshadamas are in the foreground, creating an optical illusion that they are larger than they are. Also the largest ones are the ones in the center of the strand. But the Freshadama strand as a whole has much less of an impact on my neck. It's not just the size but the whiteness of them. Silver rose blends in too much on my skin. (The Freshadamas look great on my daughter, though.)

Isabelle, those white 8-9mm metallic drops are the ones I have. (They were on special in April.) They're really comfy earrings-- not too large, not too small. I looked all over the PP website and I also don't see the 7.5-8mm metallic white studs in stock any more. Hopefully Jeremy can get more someday-- I recommend you email him and get on a waiting list for them.

As we have been discussing the metallic whites on Pricescope, I thought I would update with some new photos.

It's a bright but overcast day, and I nested my 2008 8-9mm exotics strand from PP with the 8-8.5mm AAA metallic strand, also from PP. These two are among my favorite pearl strands.

It had not occurred to me to wear them together, but now I think I will!

First photo is next to an open door, second photo is just outside the door. The reflections in the pearls are of my camera!

Fabulous!!!
that should be an interesting discussion, see you over there...

Thank, Cathy-- I had no idea they would nest until I tried it out. They feel really good together, too, not too heavy.

What a happy coincidence! Nesting perfectly seems unlikely. Lovely look!

Thank you BAS!

(Off topic, are there congratulatory pearls in your daughter's future?)

In the hopefully very distant future, there is a treasure chest of pearls awaiting her! (Morbid -- but it does give me pleasure to think she'll wear my pearls and they will hold decades of memories for her. And she'll appreciate them by then.)
