Gas Pearls

Gas Giant Video

Gas Giant Video

For all those of you still intrigued by baroque shapes and the ubiquitous "Gas Giants"...a small video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpvjAbdfG0M

It is not a "commercial" video, so don't expect any stunning models running around stark naked. This is rather a "eeky juicy" video about a recent find: a "Gas Pearl", but without a nacreous coating. You will be able to see this concretion with its pearl sac around it.

Hope you all find it useful.

Very juicy indeed - not quite as glamorous as I thought. Does it smell? The kid's adorable!

Not this one...it was mainly made out of water and protein. But this morning we did have a nauseating one.
Pablito is one cute and smart boy...

Just found out I have one of these beauties and it was smelly too. Thank you Douglas :)

Oh Pattye - I want to say something inappropriate - LOL, but I will spare you! :)

Very pretty, Newberry! I hope you weren't the one to be down wind of the pearl when it was drilled..

Such a bright blue! Enjoy and wear in health!

Oh, so lovely, Newberry ... congratulations to you and to Douglas of course :)

Gorgeous! I remember how excited you were to show us that pearl. Such a lovely pendant, and a great story to go with it. Ruckus, Tesla, gas pearl, Sea of Cortez-- everything makes this a unique piece.

newberry - Your peanut is delicious even if it had a little gas (lol)!

Thank you everyone. I really do love my peanut with it's very special little h bale from Hisano. I think it just adds the perfect touch.

The bale is perfect on "peanut". Such a cute nickname. :)

We started calling it that right away at the ruckus. The pearl is about the size of a small peanut shell and has two "lobes" like a common peanut does. Of course, it is a much prettier color than peanut tan!
