Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

Love it!!! Asked my youngest if he would make me one...he says he doesn't have enough resistors!!!! What a wonderful way to work on wire work! And super cool! (I would be the one making it..he is far too busy actually doing the electronic stuff....I mess with jewelry.)

For these projects I bought 2000 resistors on eBay for $30, of mixed values, 1000 half watt and 1000 quarter watt. Definitely not a major material cost, at under $1 per necklace. Getting them at Radio Shack is much more expensive (are there any Radio Shacks anymore?). The metal oxide versions are a lot prettier than the older carbon resistors. Yes, I used to do a lot of electronics stuff, way back when I was in high school.

You are right...not too $! My Father-in-law called us when Radio Shack closed...I don't remember when...But we just found an old Radio Shack sign at an Estate sale..as a birthday present to FIL! As for me making 1, I need to stick to my pile of pearls to restring first...need to knock that pile down a bit...before I add extra projects! But this for beginning wire work sound perfect!
