Conflict of interest - Members and realtionship with shop pearl shop companies

Dear All,

I would like to know if , among the rules of this forum, the members are requested to declear, in their profile/signature, if they totally independent or, in any way employees or salaried by shops , companies from the pearl industry.
This with the aim of a guarantee of transparency.

We do not have a requirement that people make any such declaration in their profile.
Advertising is not allowed on this forum, but members who are sellers may post a link to their shop in their signature, if they wish.

Many satisfied buyers post about items they have bought, and when people come here to ask for recommendations, it is only natural for members to recommend vendors they have had success buying from. The pearl selling community is rather small, so it's not surprising if certain vendor names appear again and again.

What you're describing would be a shill. If there were any shills on this forum, they would have been identified by members and banned long ago. There are no employees of any vendors on this forum pretending to be something they are not.
