Hi,

When in Hong Kong recently, I thought I was just buying findings. Then I found some great bead nucs from a completely out of the way trader, then I found these.... At the time, I was VERY strong, and left them there. Six weeks later, they are sitting on my desk, waiting impatiently for my supplies of moss green powerpro to arrive to string them. Theoretically, they will be part of my "stock" (at least that's what I told my husband). In actuality, I have fallen in love with them! I almost always wear black and white, and needless to say, these pearls go well with everything in my wardrobe!

The strand is A graded, according to my vendor, 10 - 13.4 mm, and 16.75 inches in length unstrung. Colours are amazing...

Sorry to bombard you with so many photos - I haven't ever bought pearls as gorgeous as these, yet alone worn them!

Just one more photo. I keep telling myself that when I am out and about selling pearls, I really should be wearing fabulous pearls - so I guess these are them!

Thanks for looking!

Of course you should. Who trusts a hairdresser with a bad haircut?

These are individually phwarrrr pearls. Are there any rules or anything about how the colours are put together as it looks totally random by colour, even if graded by size on this and similar Palosi type strands recently seen?

Beautiful. And would be much prettier around your neck ;)

Call it advertising.

Nerida,

I'm predicting someone will want to buy them right off your neck!

Pattye
so many pearls, so little time

WOW, what colors. Each pearl has its own uniqueness and strung together is just...WOW. I have to agree with Pattye, some one will try and buy them off of your neck, I know I would try.

Gorgeous pearls, Nerida! I think you definitely need to "break them in" for a while before selling them...

Nerida,
Very nice !!!

Please string them and show us pictures (on neck of course ). I look forward to seeing the finished strand. Congratulations.

Oh wow! I love muti colored strands and those pearls are really pretty!

Thank you everyone! I have had a necklace bought (by a patient!) off my neck before, but I'm not so sure about these - definitely up a price level or two to my normal stock. My husband of course would probably be delighted! I am still waiting, though, for some moss green power pro to arrive - what does everyone else think re stringing material for these? White? Black? or the moss green?

In the meantime, richipat, I'm just diligently entering the purchase under "advertising and marketing" as you suggested...

Gorgeous! Seriously wow.... I love the size! I think you can take two out of the grey/black pearls for earrings.

Hi Nerida

As the Power Pro is only white, yellow or green, using black would perhaps suggest silk, especially as you are able to restring the pearls if the silk gets stretched. I think once your small Power Pro knots are there, you are not seeing the green at all. They will blend beautifully even though you have Multis.:)

Thanks Inge, that's what I was hoping - I just wished things took a little less time to arrive here sometimes.. I will wait for the powerpro!

Beautiful strand, Nerida.
Can't wait to see the finished necklace.

Wonderful! And I agree with Sheri and Jerin. You should definitly hang on to them for a while before thinking about selling them (say 40 years or so), and the green power pro sounds fantastic. Can't wait to see them strung!

Good suggestion airdancer - I was wondering that myself - think I might take out some 11mm dark grey ones... Should I add gems with them?? Or keep simple, as the colours already make the strand "busy"?

Barbie, I have a grandmother who lived way past 100, so I might need to break them in for a bit more than 40 years...
