This rope of South Sea gas giants was among a collection of Jewelmer centerpieces on display at the #JewelmerGala2014.
Kevin says the largest pearl probably measured over 40mm.

WOW! Those are most intriguing! I wonder how heavy they are? I like the metal without diamonds; clearly custom made for each individual pearl. Thank you for being our eyes and ears at the Gala!

That strand was HUGE! Made of silverly/blue baroque and "gas giants", the center pearl was about the size of a golf ball!

Cyndayco it was great to meet you and have you escort us to the gala. We took a ton of pics but might not have a chance to upload them for a few days. I will say the Gala was a total spectacle, part jewelry show, part theater production, not to mention the free flowing wine and food -- Jewelmer really put on a fabulous event.

Likewise, Kevin, it was great to meet you and Alana. Hope your journey to Flower Island is pleasantly uneventful!

In the meantime, I found this collection of images posted by people at the gala. Not much in the way of explanation (we'll have to wait for your perspective), but it will give P-G peeps an idea of the scale of the festivities.

Cyndago, thank you for posting the pic of the enormous South Sea baroques and the way it was made into this strand. Saw in HKG on the Jewelmer a strand of huge round white and golden South Sea pearl strand which took my breath away.
I am happy that this company is so positively a success for the Philippines. The young Jacques Christophe is good in making the show vibrant with music also. Kevin and Alana I am jealous you get to Flower Island and the pearl farm. But I will keep my hopes for the future hahaha.

Just landed in Palawan and having horrible power and internet issues in Palawan. I did manage to pull one image off the camera though, we'll try for a full report in the next couple of days. We got some AMAZING shots of the gala
