Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I don’t think I’ve shown these before: my pearl shoulder dusters. They’re 12cm long and made from pearls that were removed when I needed to shorten bracelets / necklaces.

I like asymmetry and feel like it’s worked out well in this scenario, as the Tahitians are smaller than the blue akoya, so somehow 7x T vs 5x BA seem to balance out.

These were made with 925 silver and they’re light on my ears - really comfortable to wear! And I don’t feel like they’re too exaggerated for daytime either (but maybe that’s just me haha).

The pendant parts are also detachable in case I want to jazz up some other studs. I haven’t had a chance to play around with them yet, will report back when I do!

Pomelo: WOWZA, those earrings are great! Versatile, BBA's and Tahitians, and asymmetrical. All my favorite things.

May Day! May Day! Green gemstones look great with pearls, be they emeralds, jade, or tourmalines. little h earrings by Hisano Shepherd of Pearl Paradise are souffle' pearls stuffed with reclaimed emeralds and tiny, tiny keshi. Necklaces of freshwater pearls, yellow gold, jade, emeralds, sapphires, and one yellow tourmaline, by Kojima Pearl. I call the shorter necklace of freshwater keshi and gold beads "Betty Davis' Teeth" because I had just watched a movie with Betty Davis in it, and her teeth looked just like this. But I cannot for the life of me remember WHICH movie it was.

This Tiffany necklace is similar, only difference is the shape of the tag. The closure is in the front so I just attached pearls and added a jump ring at the end. Super easy

These are the clasps, you can choose the metal array you want. You can see in the fourth picture that they have a lip around the magnet, and this is what makes it extremely secure. They have been a game changer for me as well!
I bought a set of the gold and silver tone.
They add about 1.5" of length to your necklace.
You lift one half at a 90º angle to open the clasp (easy), so it can't be pulled open from the weight of the strand.

More May Day! More emeralds, and a sapphire bead. All my feather pearls. Beachy tin-cup necklace, and feather pearl pendants and earrings, all from Kojima Pearl. Necklace contains South Sea, freshwater, and baroque akoya pearls, plus a couple of shells. I had a hard time deciding which pendant to wear today. I went with the smaller, more colorful one.

I can't decide if I want to toss the gold plated chain that has most of the gold worn off, or pretend it's supposed to look oxidized. I didn't even wear it that much. I'm surprised how quickly the gold disappeared on this chain.

T-shirt, jeans, and formal pearls. 8mm, natural white Hanadama akoya pearl rope with white gold disco ball clasp with CZs. I didn't want to spend all my money on the clasp, and nobody can tell the difference. Pearl Paradise did me a huge favor by getting me the gold clasp set with CZs, because they only sell clasps with real diamonds. 5.5 mm pinked akoya rope is the very first strand of pearls I bought myself, back in 1982. I wore them daily for decades until I expanded my pearl collection. They still look amazing. I did replace the rather crappy, real gold and non-sparkly diamond clasp with this gold plated CZ clasp. It looks so much better than the real clasp did. 9mm pinked Hanadama studs from Pearl Paradise. They don't match my Hanadama rope, but the pinked pearls looked better on my earlobe than the natural white Hanadama studs did. Nobody can tell they don't match when I'm wearing them. Freshwater pearl drop pendant from Kojima Pearl. 12.7 mm X 17 mm.

Oh my goodness, please take pics!!!

Now I want a longer pair of shoulder dusters hahaha. Wearing them with a strappy or strapless dress is fantastic styling, esp when the pearls reach the collarbone. Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing the link on the Tiffany’s necklace. I didn’t know they had a closure at the front, that’s so handy.

After a period of not wearing pearls frequently, I’ve been reaching for them since the temperatures have started rising, does anyone else do the same?

These Tahitian keshi studs have been my go-to for a couple of weeks now. They’re just so comfortable and I feel cooler (as in, less warm and sweaty) just by looking at them!

I also like how the undulations in the shape of the keshis creates different effects depending on the light. And, because they’re relatively flat, it means less volume = less weight. I sleep in these most days (because I forget to take them off).

The website says it looks great even with a bathing suit! But I don’t have the bod for a bikini or strapless dress 😩.

The pearls aren’t great quality but they are FW pearls and I got them for $50 on Tjx website. Thought it would be a fun pair of earrings to wear.

They are 8” long.

Pomelo and J.lee, wheeeee what fun loooong dangles!

Lovelea, that little doggie pendant is adorable! That animal series from Takahashi is just so cute!

Loving all your spring looks, BWeaves!

A golden SS mix rope length from the last PP Ruckus with earrings I made with Tahitians and Myanmar SS keshi.
