Came to post about my 9mm+ baroque blue akoya bracelet. I’m always caught by surprise and fascinated at how the colours of highly saturated pearls change depending on the light. Today, my wrist felt like a mermaid!
Also wanted to capture the iridescence on my MOP watch face. These things reminded me that I wear jewellery for myself - it just brings me so much joy!
Pearls from Flower Jem on Instagram - he recently published a newsletter which announced that he is in the process of stringing 14 strands of 9mm blue baroque akoya, and it reminded me to reach for this.
I’m always hesitant to stack pearl bracelets but have found an okay solution: a transparent gummy spiral hairband
the transparency means it doesn’t detract too much from the stack, and its width/volume makes me feel ultra safe knowing there’s no contact whatsoever.
Out of interest, do you stack pearl bracelets? If so, do you use a buffer material?
