Please can someone identify these pearls?

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if someone could identify these pearls for me. I would very much appreciate it. When purchased we were made to believe they were akoya. The company from whom we purchased from has since admitted that they were lied to by their supplier and that they are in fact freshwater. However after having a jeweller look at them they have said they are akoya pearls but low grade and not of much value. What is your opinion? Thanks in advance.

I am curious what about the pearl made your jeweler call it akoya? It isn't perfectly round. It isn't a color every produced in akoya. It doesn't appear to be dyed. The blemish is atypical for akoya ... You have a low-grade freshwater pearl, not akoya.

If you like the finding, scrap the pearl and replace it with a nice one!

I would avoid that jeweler.

The finding may be silver plated, if it came from a pearl party seller.
