I wrote the first draft, well over 20,000 words. Jeremy was my editor - and what a masterful job he did! I put down the facts according to The GIA and Strack, and he added the magic.

Much thanks to all involved in creating this fantastic new course! I am 51% through, and really enjoying learning about the history of the industry, as well as recent innovations.

Oh, good to know! Maybe I'll wait until the quizzes are added before I go any further. My memory isn't what it used to be.
I've been doing one section at a time. Yesterday was Tahitians, later today will be SS, etc.

I was just curious if it is still being refined? I know initially they were looking for input on typos etc.
I just finished the course (along with quiz sections) and I noticed there were still some typos/grammar issues, not that I am an expert but they did catch my eye enough to make me re-read passages/paragraphs.

I don't know if they are the final quizzes, but after each section I read there were quiz questions. For example Freshwater pearls were split into two sections if I recall correctly (so two different quiz modules).

OK, I went and took the quizzes, but there seems to be one or two glitches. One of the Freshwater quizzes has a null last question and won't let me complete it. And for some reason, some of the other quizzes that I completed don't show as having been done. I wonder if it is because I took them out of order?

I had the same issue, and hence I assumed not the final versions of the modules. (Okay glad to know I wasn't alone in that!)

That glitch has been fixed. Sea of Cortez is now live and the merchandising and Fiji modules should be ready within the next 3-4 days. Next week the CPAA is planning the final release to the industry!

Now that we're traveling in the tiny silver house much closer to home, I can work through the full course ... much easier on laptop screen than phone for these old eyes ...

One of the great things about this course is that it can be updated and/or edited - as soon as someone gets to it. I expect the refinements will be ongoing and highly responsive to feedback.

I finished the course, and took the quizzes. I did experience a bit of a glitch when trying to take the "Final Exam"...I had to refresh my page in order to properly answer questions twice. In other words, the quiz was not recognizing my responses unless I refreshed my page two times (for each question). It gave me a highlighted yellow box. I probably should have taken a screen shot, but didn't. Maybe it was just my computer, but it was definitely odd.
Other than that, the information contained was really helpful and in a very easy to understand format. Thanks for making it available to all of us!

I took the final exam, too. I took it on my phone and it worked just fine!
I just finished too. But the email address for Bo Perry is wrong (it has one too many "r"'s in it). I took one out and it wasn't returned as undeliverable, so I'm assuming that fixed the problem. I also had a freezing and crashing problem, so I had to exit many of the quizzes and go back in. My data was saved though so I didn't have to repeat any questions. So, does this mean we can all come work at PP now? (I'm assuming there is a generous staff discount? 
)
