My pearls

Comforting myself with my favorite pearls. 8-10mm Rikiteas from Cees and 10mm turquoise green and pink tahitian studs from Pearlescence. This is my go to pearls. They work with everything.

It's funny but the Rikiteas are baroque and these studs goes really well with them, maybe because they are baroque too. The studs don't go well with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees. The ombre rope has really round and clean pearls. They look best when paired with either my 8,4mm mismatched tahitian studs from Oceanscove or my 8,8mm pink and green tahitian studs from Pearlescence. Those studs are also very round and clean. It's not visible on photos, but in real life it's obvious.

One more of my copper green tahitian earrings from Cees. Such an amazing color. It goes well with both of the strands.

These are my top-two favorites of yours, Charlotta. So very, very, VERY beautiful! I always love seeing pictures of them.

Beautiful ! I love my Riki strand ( wearing it right now ) the colours are beautiful so I understand why it's a favourite of yours ! Those unusual Tahitians are really interesting !! Gorgeous colour and not one I've actually seen before.
Katbran, have you posted photos of your Riki strand anywhere on PG? If so, please post a link to the thread. ;)

Thank you Cricketbug and Katbran. I would love to se your rikiteas Katbran. The earrings are a really gorgeous color. I was accually looking for a pair of medium golden south sea pearls and Cees showed photos of all the golden pearls he had at the moment. I looked at them all and then I stopped myself and had to scroll back. I just knew that I had to have them. I had a plan to turn them into studs, but the yellow gold dangle finding looked so good with them.

Back to stringing again. I bought another baroque akoya strand from Wendy at Pearlescence. This one has the most gorgeous pastel blue, green, gold, and pink colors. The luster is great. The pearls are 7-8mm. I strung it on Beaders secret in sky. No fancy clasp, just a ball clasp. I ran out of clasps and forgot to order new ones. First unstrung.

Thank you Bcm21mk and Cricketbug.
I also restrung my vintage akoya strand. The pearls are about 7 or 8mm, with a white gold and diamond clasp. I had removed 5 pearls to make it shorter once but I added them as again. I thought that maybe my mother would like to wear them to the funeral, she don't like choker necklaces. The pearls in this are really nice.

Thank you BWeaves. The bowclasp is special to me, as is the strand. It's marked Birmingham 1990. That's the year my son was born. I bought it much later. The pearls are still perfect. I don't think that whoever did got the pearls back in 1990 used them much. Probably something some one wore for a wedding. I thought my mother would like to have something from the year her first grandchild was born.

Both strands are beautiful. The white strand made special by the sentiment. Wishing you peace Charlotta.

Charlotta, your Riki strand is gorgeous, as are all your Tahitians! They all have their own personality. The luster is fantastic! Love that you have so many different studs to mix & match with them.

Wonderful stringing on the blue Akoyas & your antique Akoya. They look beautiful!

The akoyas are really lustrous. This photo shows it a bit better.
