My pearls

It's my day off, should be cleaning the house, doing laundry maybe weed a bit in the garden...but I am sorting pearls and drinking espresso. Woke up this morning with the imageof the 100inch rope Sarah from Kojima created years ago in the 100 inch rope challenge from 2009. I remember wanting to make something like that when I first read the tread in 2014, thats when I became a member. The things that pops into my head! That year I read a lot of older treads. I didn't became an active member until 2018 when I just had to share my blue tahitian studs with someone other than not-husband... This morning I have been sorting through my leftover pearls, strands I don't use and did some cutting apart (strand sacrifice watched over by woodoo priest kitten..) this is the first layout, the colors don't show up like they should, but I might rearranged them.

In The layout baroque white south seas, bluish white freshwater keshis, bluish akoyas, grey baroque tahitians, peacock circled tahitians, greenish pink ripples, golden slightly greenish baroque south seas, peach freshwater keshis, copper off-round freshwaters, pale pink freshwaters, vintage baroque akoyas, vintage round very small akoyas and smaller white ripples.

I knotted my rope with Pattyes Beaders secret in ivory. It's know 36 inches long, it turned out rather fun.

#same lol. But what is life if not being constantly distracted by pearls, right?

This turned out beautifully! I especially love the nuggest-shaped ones!

Thank you lary007 and Marianne. lary007, that would be the white bluish freshwater keshis, the ones that smelled badly (but not anymore).

Thank you JerseyPearl and Katbran. Yes it's really great to be able to just rearrange things at a whim and then remake it if I want to. Saves money to when I don't have to ask someone else to remake it.

Today I'm wearing my golden south sea strand from Cees, my akoya keshistrand from Pearlescence, my champagne south sea enhancer from Pearlsociety and my golden south sea studs from Oceanscove.

Since I am wearing my golden south seas today some more golden photos. First some baroque circled golden south sea strand. Lots of green and blue overtones in this one.

Charlotta your pearls are so beautiful. I look to your pearls necklaces for inspiration- you create amazing pieces.

Thank you 86Corvettegirl, Bweaves and Gemandpearllover. Gemandpearllover I am blushing, but happy to be an inspiration.

Took some new photos of my sampler strand.

The tahitian rope is somewhate smoother...
When I was taking photos of the sampler strand I saw that half of this was cooler toned and the other half warmer, but that the clasp wasn't in the middle of the two. I could rearrange it a bit and maybe make it endless so that I could twist it around for a new effect. Like a day and a night kind of necklace, or summer and winter. Or I could make two necklaces with one gold and one silver clasp that I could connect to one rope. Might be fun. The warmer part is a bit shorter I think so then I have to add some pearls to it from my leftover piles.

The ever naughty kitten escaped last night and it took us an hour to catch her again. She was everwhere. On the roof off the house, climbed up on a small mountain top, under the house. Running everywhere generally. Now she tries to break out again. There are so many pretty birds outsider she says. She just want to play with them... Cannot let her out since we always travel between two houses. Also we lost 3 cats, that always was outside, some years ago all at the same time. We suspects foul play and don't want to loose this one.

Naughty kitty! Hope she stays home safe and sound...

Happy Huka, she escaped again today. Somehow she got her little body through some tiny openings in the airing doors not-husband built. Took us a long time to catch her. She thought we were playing with her the little imp. Now not-husband has rebuilt the airing doors.
