I am looking for a good oxidized sterling silver bail with pave diamonds for this little guy. I have been looking everywhere but no dice. Any one have a recommendation?

This little guy is about 14mm x 12mm

Ckrickett I looked up 'silver diamond bail' on Etsy, see if anything is suitable? Although some of the diamonds are very rustic looking.

Darn..I had this all typed out and ready to go and had a power failure ....

I found two possibilities at CGM - both oxidised with slightly rustic looking diamonds - both with pearl pins. More bead caps than you might like so I'm not sure if they are what you had in mind but have a look at 14750S and 14751S

I like Sarah's enhancer and it looks like the pearl cap is a lot like the one I posted above.

I'll contact Sarah first and see!

I remember seeing a bunch like 6 months ago everywhere. etsy, ebay, random finding vendors and now they are almost extinct.

I do like the rusit look of the diamonds, but i worry they may fall out which is my only draw back. I think i;d trust Sarahs judgment on decent bails and findings, so I will try her first!

So frustrating, when one has something in mind. Bella Findings has lots of silver/diamond beads, but I didn't see a bail. That's a great pearl, and I def like the idea of dark sterling with it.

Me too! I ordered some supplies to make a long tin cup with chinese ripples and oxidized silver, thought this might be a cute match for layering it

Sarah says she doesn't have anymore. They were all used on her beautiful jewelry. (whom whom)

But I thought maybe if I found an interesting cap and headpin I could do a makeshift one.

here are some ideas I found at gem packed

Caps

https://www.gempacked.com/11x5mm-sterling-silver-capdia020ct although because of its little bumpy head Id have to get that cut off or not use this one

https://www.gempacked.com/12mm-sterling-silver-hexagon-shape-cap this one says its a cap but looks like a bail, not sure if I like the hexagon though

headpins

Now I have an idea about adding this as a drop to a vintage filigree pendant with seed pearls and maybe a few gemstones or or gold lavaliere. Been searching on some antique jewelry websites for ideas, and inspiration.

any thoughts

Do you think it'll make a great octo baby head? :p

I thought about that. I have a little tahitian octo baby, and I put a boarding fee on Big Papa (one of the parents, the brass fellow with the B SSP Head)

I saw some great enamel ones, especially one with a Sea of Cortez pearl! WANT! BUT this one may make an interesting big sister. who knows. I am going a little octo crazy but I don't see that as a bad thing!
