Since transforming my other good deep golden strand into two wavestrands I have been wanting a new good golden south sea strand, only not so small. The now wavestrand has rather small pearls, about 7-8mm and I wanted something bigger. I asked Cees if he had any good strand and did he ever. He found me this 10-13mm deep golden Cogent strand. It's also less warmtoned so it's accually better with my skintone. I knotted it with Beaders secret in gold and added my usual clasp.

It's been the best pearl year 2019. I feel rather spoiled, by me that is, haha. I don't have earrings that match the strand exactly but I do have two pairs that work. First the copper green tahitian earrings from Cees. They are darker yes, but also cooltoned. These earrings are really stunning and goes with most pearls.

The deep golden south sea studs from Oceanscove also works with the strand but are slightly more warmtoned and with it's 7,5mm size significantly smaller. I love these small very lustrous studs.

And of course with my rainbow strand.

The golden south sea pearls in the rainbow strand next to the new strand. The rainbow strand has 11mm pearls. First with the smallest pearls in my new strand.

And with some bigger once.

So thank you Cees for finding me another treasure.

Thank you Pattye. I rather like knotting, it's relaxing except for when the tread breaks or when one of the cats wants to steal the tread...or the pearls, today they were sleeping so calm knotting.

Lovely new goldens, Charlotta. I'm sitting here grinning with excitement for you. Such beautiful colors. I can really see the green tones in Cees photo. The 10-13mm size is perfect for those goldens. Here's to hoping you don't reuse these pearls right away. A lady needs a great big strand of goldens.

Thank you Red. I woun't reuse these once. You are exactly right about a woman needing some big goldens, and the other once were a bit small. I love my new strand. Hopefully this weekend I can get some bettet photos where you accually can see the overtones properly.

What a beautiful treasure you have acquired Charlotta! Very happy to see you add this strand to your gorgeous collection.

Thank you Gemandpearllover. I think that I have found a pair of deep golden south sea studs to go with my strand. Wendy had a pair of 11,2 mm that probably will do just fine. I have been looking for a big pair of deep golden studs for while. Don't get me wrong, I love my small deep golden south sea studs from Oceanscove, sometimes I want a bigger pair.

Darn dark winter light. Tried to capture the luster on these golden pearls, they look flat. Tried the portable lightbox:

The light even makes my rainbow strand flat.

The best photo today was strangely enough on the table in poor light, at least you can see the luster.

Finally some better light. Took not-husband and the cats to the summercabin for the weekend, well he did drive but I did tell him that I needed to take some pearl photos. He is the nicest person ever, even though he said that he thought that I had rather many already. Anyway cats are happy, the light is good and will be better in two hours, so more photos soon. I did have to get water in a bucket from a well though, but at least decent photos, yay.

And with my rainbow strand. The light is still a bit dark for tahitians, but just wait for two hours then the light will be perfect. In summer I get the best photos between 16-19 in the afternoon but in the winter there is only light for about 6 hours.

Now I will make a big breakfast for not-husband for driving an hour and a half on small dark roads for my photos. Probably would have made him breakfast anyway since he cannot cook even if his life depended on it but still. And I pretend that I don't see how many treats he gives wee kitten and then tells me that kitten are getting round like a seal....

He sounds like a very nice guy!
Please thank him for the rest of us, too, because the light brought out wonderful green and rose overtones in those photos.

Thank you, Charlotta, for these delightful vignettes of your life with not-husband and kittens accompanied by amazing pearl photos!

And then I took some, likely hundreds, more photos of my new pearls. My new 10-13mm deep golden south sea strand from Cees are indeed magical in the right light. I am still waiting for my new 11,2mm deep golden south sea studs that I bought from Pearlescence 2 days ago. I will probably get those next week. They have to wait for good photolight until christmas or so since I work to much before christmas to have time to check up on the summercabin, with the magical pearllight.

With my 7,5mm deep golden south sea studs from Oceanscove. These studs are gorgeous, just a hint more warmtoned, I can wear them with this strand but I think that this strand would benefit with some bigger studs. They are perfect for my wavestrand though.

I have not enhanced any of my photos, for several reasons. I don't think that I should do that and I don't know how to anyway...

With my copper green tahitian earrings from Cees. These ones have a green overtone just like my strand but are much deeper. Gorgeous combination anyway.

Of course frog approved.

The frog is from Pearlsociety, as is the champagne south sea enhancer and my medium golden south sea enhancer in the next photos.

With my wavestrands. The golden south seas in the wavestrands are my former good south sea strand, that I bought from Cees last year. They are still great but now a rope and a strand paired with a vintage double akoya strand. I love the wavestrand and I am not sorry I remade the strand, I really wanted to have a bigger one. The goldens in the wavestrand are 7-8mm.

My greenish golden south sea pearls from Kongspearl are really pretty on their own but cannot complete with my new strand.

Thank you Pearl Dreams and Pattye, he really is a great guy. The cats are enjoying themselfs, they had the most exited day, there is a pretty black cat outsider that woun't go away. They have been looking for it for most of the day. Not-husband is worried that someone has abandoned it, but it is well feed, with shiny fur, likely I think belongs to one of our neighbours and just on a walkabout. I told him to talk to the neighbours, that are distant cousins to him, because one cannot just steel someone cat...likely he will tomorrow if it's still around.

Well the cat is back with it's owner. I texted one of our neighbours about the cat. It had been missing for 2 weeks and the owners was really happy to have the cat back. They came and got her within 5 minutes of my text. Apparantly the cat takes long walkabouts sometimes.
