new pieces

Pattye, Julie, Nerida, Inge, Wendy and Bernadette. Thanks so much for you kind comments.

I wish that I could attach those sound bytes--Chandra's voice is as glorious as her beauty. Hmmmm--maybe I will work on a way to do that.

Thanks again, Beth

Well, here are two necklace that I just restrung.

The first is my Lombok pearl necklace--I added three pearls, knotted between each pearl and the tiny 22k gold spacers on each side of the larger gold beads. It is now longer. I also attach a not very good neck shot--snapped by my husband as we were leaving for a reception. The other necklace includes emeralds and white fw keishis--I have struggled with this one, but I finally decided on relative simplicity.

Blondes always look great with gold SS pearls and your photo demonstrates this - great pearls and an overall great look

Excellent work. the combination of pearls in the necklaces are great. I liked the design in keshi pearls as their odd shape is really a designer's challenge. Great job;)

Thanks so much Wendy, Blaire, Cassiopiea, Bluesea and Patty.

I was unsure about the knotting on the golden pearl necklace. I knotted after each pearl and then again before each pearl. Kotting before the pearl (and after the bead and spacer) was the most difficult becuase the spacer kept getting caught in the knot as it was pulled. I do think that the knotting and the spacers give the necklace more flexibility.

I did not knot the other one for a number of reasons.

Here is a closer photo of my knotting attempts. ( I had not knotted in several years so I had to do this very slowly over a period of days--not experienced as many of you are.)

Beth, very lovely necklaces and you look gorgeous with the Lombok pearls. Thanks for the photos!

Wow, very creative. I'm always in awe of people who can come up with ideas and execute them.

The fun is--that on any given day, one might reach for simple pearls, statement pearls, or pearls mixed with gemstones! And on and on!

Once I kidded Carolyn Ehret about having a different pearl necklace for each day of the month. Believe I've surpassed that by now, as have many of you!!! :D

Hi all: I received a very lovely Christmas gift--an 18 inch strand of the exotic metallics (8.5-9 inches) from the PP collection!! They are lovely--but you know how it is when you are a lowly beader--I will probably restring them to show off some of my favorites in the strand! Here is the strand with my keshis--and then in a tray with some of my other pearls--just for comparison. I still could improve on photography, so please forgive any shortcomings regarding photo quality!

Peace, Beth

Those are just lovely pieces. Such wonderful creativity you have using all those gorgeous pearls!

Hi and thanks!
Blaire, on this cold (mid teens--lingering ice and snow) day in the south--I need a pearly party for sure.

Pearldreams--you are so kind. Welcome (or is welcome back) to the forum!

Thanks Claudenancy! Although I have lurked on this forum, I am actually new ...but I did just realize that my username is close to another members user name. I guess we both think alike...LOL! :):):):):)

Like GemGeek says - it sure is a pretty pearly tray. Beautiful and colourful.

Cheers,
SR

Your jewelry is gorgeous. I love the way you combine different shapes and sizes and the quality of the pearls looks excellent. You don't knot your pearls, right? How do you string them and what type of clasp do you use? Thanks so much, Patricia
