Exotic Strands Are Coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like PP's new home page. Did you scroll to the bottom to see the box with the moving letters? Cool. It would be nice if the top has something like that. The Exotic page is so colorful: the pearls, the fonts, and the text colors subtly changing within the words. Very nice, Jeremy!!! My compliments to the Art Dept.

I also noticed that - and the photograph worked into that graphic which is particularly beautiful. Nice design.

Beautiful photo Jeremy - and no doubt the pearls are gorgeous too!
Art work is indeed nice, too.

Thanks. We finally decided to move design and development completely in house, which now gives us the ability to make quick and complete changes to different parts of the site. It also frees up Natalie to concentrate on photos, which are her fort

That metallic color - wow!

That metallic color - wow!

I'm blown away with the colors of Jeremy's metallics - I can't wait to see the website when he debuts them. How the heck do they get like that?

Stunning, simply amazing....MUST HAVE...NOW!!!!!

LOL,

That sounds like Octavia talking.. How did she get over to Nancy's?;)

Oh Oh, it looks like the pearl flu has taken a hold. It seems to be at its worst from late fall-to New Years. And has no vaccine......It changes a bit each year and can become a chronic condition with no cure, because the pearls keep changing every year, too.

I got the email with the page. Here it is if you don't have it:

Indulging eyes only this time though....[/QUOTE]

That's what I might have to do too:(. Luckily I got an exotic strand from the most lovely PG-member some time ago but I had planned to get one of these "new" exotic strands too but something came up which means that I have to save as much money as I can... I guess that there might be no more pearls for me the next coming months:(.

We have to be extra careful for a while because my husband's employer has started laying off. Prior to this, the company had a history of never laying off, but the economy makes even relatively secure jobs insecure.

However, I will enjoy the "eye candy" when those who have bought them post their photos. And in any case, I adore the exotics I bought in 2008! :)

Will there ever be any loose metallics for those of us who make jewelry? I know that you have to focus on strands, but would love some loose ones too, even if they are a little "off round":)

Thanks, Beth

Ditto! Yes please! Especially the off round bit.

I was visiting at Pearl Paradise yesterday and the exotics were fabulous. Jeremy still has some of the big earring and pendant sets, or at least quite a few earrings. I came with some findings that hadn't worked for the pearls I had purchased them for, and Jeremy helped me pick out some new pearls for them -- baby pink metallic exotics!

One of the things that fascinates me about the exotics is that they are the only round pearls that look good in direct sunlight. If you have some you can take them outside and see what I mean.

You wouldn't believe how pretty these are on, but of course, I couldn't get a decent photo. I think time of day has a lot to do with it. These are the finest freshwater pearls and we are so lucky to be the first to get them. ;)

And I got to see the yellow and gold akoyas and there were also some silver blues. This was the shot that had the most accurate colors.
