Anyone else seen it yet? I think I actually preferred the older one. There's a new monthly special up too but I'm going to wait for the mother's day sale before I make any decisions.

PS I'm not a troll :p

The photos are smaller on the new design. You have to click on each item to get a closer look. The older design has larger photos. But again, you can view all 6 or 7 pages of pearl on 1 screen. The older design didn't hold 50 or 60 items on 1 screen.

I noticed that I can't log into my account. There is no link for it, yet.

It has more things - nice, especially the finding sections. But it seems busy to me and not as classy. I don't like the candy displays, I kept thinking about chocolate getting on the pearls. Also the pics are showing very bright/exposed on my computer. But I like the stuff on it! I'm wondering about the anticipated Mother's Day sale. Isn't Mother's Day just 11 days from now?

I think its fine myself. Easy to navigate. I think the free form look from before looked possibly a bit more sophisticated. But it seems there are more options and links now. I liked them both.

I like the alternate views options. And the candy thing is cute, conceptually, but really makes me want to grab a cloth and clean off any chocolate that might be on the pearls!

Ack, Waimeamomi beat me to the chocolate comment. But it's good to know I'm not the only one who cringed!

I think the blue on the page (and the contrast between all the bright white and the bright blue) may not be the best color to complement the pearls. There's also something about the whiteness/brightness of the background and pictures on the website that I feel doesn't do the beauty of the pearls justice. I do, however, like how you can see more items on one page and some of the new website functions. I really like how you can view extra pictures and how it shows the AA+ and AAA side by side. The only thing I would suggest is adding a brief description under each necklace (e.g., body color and overtone for Tahitians) since the pictures are smaller, so you don't have to click on each one.

Btw, I love the graduated akoya strand. I'm glad I didn't give into temptation and buy the 7-7.5 April special.

The chocolate is cute, but it makes me want to eat it. :D

I think someone beat you to it. :) There are empty wrappers in the pictures. I have to admit that I've always been a fan of pictures of jewelry with flowers.

OMG! NO! I want them now. I'm staring more at the chocolate than the pearls. It makes me want to go run to Godiva.

I agree though, I think flowers would be lovely.

I am sure I shall be able find my way round the new website in no time :)

DK :)

Alright, I'll confess. I ate the truffles. ;) Mmmmmmmmmm. Actually, all the talk of chocolate made me hungry, but all I had was a granola bar. :(

Ugh! I want the milk chocolate one with the GSS on top. YUM! Also, is the contrast between the dark chocolate and the white pearls bothering anyone else too? Ooh, how cute would it be if they did marzipan or petit fours?

Just random thoughts:

- Did not expect the new site to be released this soon! The navigation seems to have improved marvelously (can see more things at once, get more details then before in a few clicks... for just about anything listed). 'Though that the eye-grabbing blue buttons were simply leftovers from the old site, about to be disposed of any minute in favor of something less (not more) prominent then the pearls. Apparently, not so.

But again, my favorite websites (for design) are not terribly commercial. Doubt that my choices are that representative after all. Perhaps bad for business, even. Can't know, really.

- Can't think of chocolate as 'stain-source'! ... ready to admit that's awfully cocoa-biased. Even so, ... don't think any man-made material has an easy time matching the colors of peals. Frostings included. Nice try ;)

- Lots of fruit trees bloom in the colors of pearls around this time. A young Cydonia made me take an earring off recently just to see both flower and pearl together (1:0 match! :p)....

But isn't that association - flowers & pearls, the whole 'sakura thing - a bit 'spent' Chocolates are more innovative. What else?

Oooooh, marzipan would be cute. Very vibrant and colorful!
I think the chocolate actually works with the GSS. You get a good comparison of the gold compared to the milk chocolate.

Btw, are you at the airport Callire or will you be traveling today or in the next couple days? I remember that you're always at the airport when these sales start. ;)
