8th grade project on Pearl farms. Help me.

I am Tharika Varthini,8th Grade Student from The Vikasa School, Tuticorin,India.I am doing a school project with the topic The Peal Farming in Japan,Srilanka and in UK. Kindly send me informations and few photos to me by email to my ID suvetharika at gmail.com.

I suggest you read our forum threads on pearl farming. In fact, I will move this thread into that section. I am sure there is some information in there. Then if you have a specific question, ask it.

Please read the posts of two of our actively selling pearl farmers on this forum. Josh of Kamoka pearls and Douglas McLaren of Sea of Cortez pearls. These two farmers incorporate sustainability into their farming practices.

Kamoka grows Tahitian pearls, and Sea of Cortez is the only pearl farm in the world to grow rainbowlip pearls, a very colorful variety.

I did not understand that last sentence. Someone in India is growing Pearls? If so, this is the first time I have heard that.
