Is this a golden pearl?

Hi,

I found a pearl that was being sold as a mabe pearl but when I got it, it is spherical. Also, the color is in the gold tone. I've done some basic testing and it's telling me it's a pearl. Anyone seen this before? Is it a south sea or something else? I wonder. The size is about 16.75 mm.

Thank you,

The surface has the grainy appearance of an imitation pearl or "shell pearl" (which is a kind of imitation pearl.)

That could be a SSP.
FWP are also being dyed to resemble SSP. If the setting is gold/diamonds, probably SSP; if silver/CZ probably FWP.
