What kind of pearl did I just buy?

Here's a pic. Sorry it's a little blurry, I couldn't get it much clearer.

I bought it from a reputable jeweler, but not one that specializes in pearls. It's 8 or 9mm with a 14k white gold band. Looks perfectly round to my eye.

An appraisal would be interesting too.
 
It looks like a pretty straightforward white freshwater pearl ring....Over here around ?90 from an online. More from a bricks and mortar shop.
The pearl looks as if it has good lustre, but I wouldn't say metallic lustre from the photos. Surface clean
 
Freshwaters are a good choice for pearls in rings, which get knocked around more than, say, a necklace or earrings would. I like simple designs in rings.
 
That is a nice ring, one that can be worn on a day to day basis, and the pearl looks clean and round, and I agree with the others that it is most likely to be a cultured freshwater pearl.

A pearl in a ring will stand any amount of banging about but will scratch so take it off when you are planning an afternoon of bricklaying
