I love this pearl necklace , I bought it at an estate sale.
The pearls are about 3 mm baroque pearls.
The clasp is marked 14k , one part only.
Every pearls is just adorable , when I'm looking with the magnifier , they have beautiful colors , from white to golden to purple.
Some of the pearls are peeling , some are perfect , and about three are totally gone , only the nucleus is left on the string. On the pictures I mainly focused on the damaged pearls and some good ones.
Currently there are 230 pearls on the 35 inch long necklace , including the damaged pearls.
The two pearls next to the clasp are knotted only.
About 3 are gone to the nucleus and about 5 are badly damaged .
They are adorable.
My guess is early Biwa pearls perhaps?
My plan is restringing it and keeping the damaged pieces tucked away.
Thank you for your help.

My guess is baroque akoyas, because of the shapes and the bead nucleus.

Since you plan to restring them, you may like to have a look at the stringing tutorials stickied in the Lowly Beaders' Club section.

I agree. They look like baroque Akoya pearls.
Once you remove those damaged pearls and have it restrung, it will look great! Please post a couple of photos once you do this.
