What do I do with this? A mystery clasp

A customer sent me this clasp and asked me to make a necklace using her "mystery clasp".

What do I do with it????? I have never seen anything like it before.

Do you have a drill? They go inside two end pearls.

I do have a drill... I was wondering if that was the method. Thanks for confirming... now, I have to practice knotting inside a tube.

The question is, what do you use on the other end of the pearl? I only see the connection pieces. Jeremy?

The thread goes through the middle and wraps around, coming back through the shaft. You can't see it unless you are looking straight on.

Thanks for the explanation. Very cool clasps. Are they a pain to drill for and knot?
