Aloha, Helping an old friend, they were his mothers. He was considering cutting scrapping the gold for cabbage to kings.I told him I would find out more about them or even a new home for them before he diggles em off like that. Small Kine, Great color! Mahalo

He said the necklace is old. The clasp makers mark 14k 585 then an upside down triangle in a circle looks like a top spinning to me.

What types of pearls? Vintage? Antique? Salt or Fresh cultured or natural? And ballpark on listing price suggestions if I do that for him and then how sought after these necklaces are? My post is common with hopes they aren't. I really do appreciate any feedback or of course offers. I would post more pics but the service in the rainforest is draining.

It's a strand of Chinese freshwater pearls. It appears to be a mix of long and short potato shapes. It's not tremendously valuable, but it's a tissue-graft freshwater and there aren't many farmers growing them anymore. It isn't an antique. It's probably no more than 20 years old. The clasp is just a standard 14 karat clasp. I don't see a hallmark, but wouldn't necessarily expect one on a strand like this.
