Trying to see what this strand might be worth

I am new to Tahitian pearls and am trying to get an idea what this strand might be worth. Any comments would be appreciated.

In this photo they look like black glass beads. I seriously doubt that they are Tahitian pearls, but try taking another photo in indirect daylight, so we can have another look. Pearls, even ones that are heavily dyed would have some variation in shading of color. It would be a very rare pearl that is completely black.

Yes Gemgeek is right, there's no way they are Tahitian pearls and likely they aren't pearls at all.


Have you done a "tooth test" on them? Do they feel gritty or smooth if you run them across your teeth gently?
