Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

OOOOO, more blues. My PP Live Takahashi pearls just arrived and I love them. Only a few of the pearls are deep blue, but the surfaces are very clean for baroques, and many are perfect little drop shapes. The chain is actually two different styles of chain. And, there are little gold dangles in between some of the pearls for extra sparkle. The chain is adjustable in length, too, with a dangling pearl at the back. There's way more to this necklace than I thought there was when I bought it.

The chain on the left alternates paperclip links with flat reflective links that sparkle. The chain on the right is bigger and teardrop shaped. The necklace alternates between these two styles of chain every couple of inches.

For color comparison: Worn with today's BBAs.

For color comparison: Worn with BBAs from Pearls of Joy, bought at my first RUCKUS. I think this might be my favorite combo. The color of the pearls is in between the other two chokers. And the length works better. It's a 20 inch strand.

That is a perfect necklace. Beautiful.

OMG @BWeaves your new blue akoyas are dreamy dreamy dreamy!!! Stunning pearls, fun design, such a wearable piece! So happyI will get to see it here often;-) And yes nothing beats Vietnamese akoyas, they are the bluest of them all💙💙💙

@SurfnSci Lovely to see you too! And your amazing Kamoka necklace! What a gorgeous strand, Kamoka pearls have that special glow to them, they look wonderful on you!

@jeg Enjoy Hawai! It must be so nice to see pearls being worn everywhere, so much pearl staring to do ;-))) funny when my friend was in Tahiti she would send me pics of local tv presenters too and of course they were all wearing amazing pearls. Oh and your special colored akoyas are heavenly…and the ombre….

Another one of my little remakes, Jumbleberry strand in its 2025 version. I decided this will be an overtone pearls only necklace and here it is. One more strand to update and I am ready for 2026;-) Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Pretty pieces, BWeaves!

Teeny keshi with sapphire briolettes from House of Keshi/Pearl Exporting Co., worn long and doubled. And a purple Japan Kasumi pearl from Kojima held in a net pendant from Takahashi. I wire wrapped the chain with teeny Akoya keshi from Takahashi.

I can’t get enough of the gemmie keshi necklace. I think wearing the combination would bring a lot of joy. Did you get both?

While I missed that gorgeous necklace @BWeaves snagged, I felt very lucky to have gotten the 5.5mm BBA rope that came up just before it. I had to immediately throw it on with the tshirt I was wearing. I love it doubled in a torsade with a strand shortener clip in the back! I think each pearl is emitting its own glow. So looking forward to wearing this one! It will go with a lot of my outfits, I think!

Today’s Tahitians: an ombré Tahitian keshi dangle necklace from Misha Hawaii, my PP/Jack Lynch live drop earrings, and the TeHotu Mana “Christmas ring,” where you can see the red color a little bit better here next to the green.

Thanks eolian! On the streets it’s mostly stud earrings, but on tv, especially if they’re hosting a local event, there are lots of pearls, flowers and shells to look for. I love your recent remakes of your T’s. It’s like getting new necklaces! I’m sure your mom and sister will love wearing the love strand for a while!

Thank you, lisa c! I bought the one strand of keshi and sapphire briolettes but it is long enough to double around the neck, so the pics are of the same necklace worn two ways. It’s a fun piece!

Oh, BWeaves and PearlyLibrarian, fantastic choices from the Takahashi/PP Live event! I love both choices! Enjoy wearing them!

The pearl of choice here has been dark Tahitians for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I was seeing a lot of white stud earrings, but not so much this year. I’m seeing a lot of Tahitian bracelets, which I haven’t seen as much of in the past. A snapshot of the weather person wearing two Tahitian bracelets and a floating T pendant.

The host of some local talent show was wearing a Tahitian bracelet and a between the finger ring. There were 3 T’s on the ring, which I think was all in one piece.

I was watching this digital billboard which was in front of one of the Maui Divers stores. Couldn’t get my phone out in time to get a pic of a young guy wearing a T bracelet. I seriously stood in front of this thing for 20 minutes waiting for that pic to rotate back but it’s set to show the pics randomly and not in any order. Grrr… while I was waiting, there were other pics I took specifically of the guys wearing pearl bracelets.

I love the reporting on pearl trends in Hawaii!

In my area of the southeast I NEVER see Tahitians. Ever. I see white pearls pretty frequently, but no other colors really. The gold metal beads trend is really in here though.

Found a cute little sweatshirt with a faux-pearl neckline.

Paired with 7mm akoya studs. I can feel myself shifting into an akoya mood lately!

I have to share this photo. I'm not a cat person. This is my friend's cat. I recently corrupted her to the pearl side, and she's taking the Pearls As One course. She just bought some Tahitians from PP and Kojima, and here's the photo of the tin-cup she bought. Isn't he a glorious model!
