The new 17.2mm x 12mm pearl in the old setting is back. I did pay someone to mount it for me. In the end it needed drilling.

Thanks BN, the setting was estate from about 10 years ago. It had held a not so attractive Tahitian.

MM - I do like that setting. It would be excellent to hide imperfection in a drop shape. I was looking at some big drops the other day but very flawed on top around the drill hole. Most looked like a little nub had either broken off or been cut off. A setting like this would hide that nicely.

I'm not wild about pearls with plain boring bails. I like something a bit more interesting, because it just looks more elegant.
