My pearls

Thank you Pattye, Bweaves and eolian pearls. You are quite right Bweaves, gold really only looks good with golden pearls. All golden pearls in fact, when I try it with my ombre golden to white south ses strands, I always have to restring them with ivory. The gold doesn't look good with the white south sea pearls. I have some more photos of the morse code necklace. I have a pair of earrings to tweak for it as well.

Some more morsecode photos.

I have these earrings that I made with amethysts and the same white keshi pearls that are in the morse code necklace. I don't like the shepherds hooks so I have to rewire them. If I just add a jumpring they will not face forward. Otherwise they are perfect.

I had a busy day yesterday, with lots of rearranging and reknotting. But I am pleased with the result. I will show you later.

I like the amethyst earrings. They're a good match to the pearls. But I'm like you. I don't like hooks for earrings. I tend to lose them. I much prefer some sort of hoop or lever back.

Thank you Bweaves, those hooks wriggles loose. I have fixed the earrings now.

Very practical those huggies, and comfortable as well.

So I have been wanting to have a shorter ombre circled south sea strand, but with an equal colorgraduation on both sizes, with the deep golden south sea pearls at front. I didn't want to give up on my ombre circled south sea rope however, the one that goes from deep golden in one end to white in the other. Being really far away from pearls doesn't help much. What to do...well in the end I sacrificed my deep golden south sea bracelet and my white one. I have to make new ones when I get my hands on some more circled south sea pearls. I cannot wear them except for at home for a long time anyway. I am afraid that the constant hand sanatizing at work will damage the pearls. It damaged a shirt, the gel had hardened or something at the pump and squirted hand sanatizer all over me. Those stains didn't go away...where was I...sacrificed bracelets, still needed some medium golden south sea pearls. Nothing is ever easy when I get an idea...this lead to a weekend long restringing session. I had put a medium pearl in my long ombre tahitian and south sea rope, I had also put two of them in my big circled tahitian strand from Pearlescence, the pearls were so big it needed a bit lenght to be comfortable. So I cut apart both bracelets, the big circled south sea strand, the long ombre golden to white circled south sea rope, the ombre tahitian and south sea rope... Then I laid out the new strand on a beading board with the ombre south sea rope on the other beading board. Moving pearls. Rearranging them, I removed the transition on the long rope that I added when I made the rope endless. Finally I was pleased with both layouts and knotted both strands with clasps. The long rope lost 2,5 inches, it's now 28,5 inches and the shorter strand is 19 inches long. Very pleased with both of them. I had to retake the photos last night just before a creapy fog arrived, the previous photos had somehow gotten all misty. Like when there is a dream session in a crappy tv serie, they had to go.

Thank you SydK. I am really pleased with these two. Some more photos since it was so late last night when I took the previous photos and they look a bit cold.

Shorter strand with my mismatched south sea earrings from Pearlescence.

The deep golden south sea studs, also from Pearlescence are also great with the strand.

I added two medium golden circled south sea pearls to my big circled golden south sea strand from Pearlescence. So that the lenght is more comfortable. The pearls in this one is really big.

Very big.

Thank you Pattye, they really do. Then I just had to fix the ombre tahitian and south sea rope. I really like that one and after the restringing of all those circled south sea pearls I had a big white south sea pearls that I couldn't incorporate in the other strands. I didn't like the big white south sea pearl that I had currently used as focalpearl. Then suddenly I got the idea to make it an ombre tahitian and white south sea rope, loose the golden south sea pearls, I didn't have any big focalpearl left for that section. Late the night before restringing the rope I cut away that part and it really looked good. The next morning I cut apart the whole strand and rearranged the pearls. I needed more white south sea pearls and the strand needed some more of those lovely peacock circled tahitians...another bracelet got cut up and then my extender again...sometimes I get tired of myself. I moved some pearls around for a bit. Made a green transition on one side of the white south sea pearls and a silvery one on the other. I took a break and watched the sea for a bit, then moved some more pearls. Then I could finally restring the rope. It is an inch longer after, 39 inches and endless. I really like the rope like this.

With my other ombre tahitian and south sea strand. I thought about changing some of the golden south sea pearls, since I had some on hand, but I decided that I like this one as it is, with cooler greenish south sea pearls.

I have some closeups for later but now I have to make breakfast.

Charlotta you definitely have a lot of beautiful pearls, but that morse code necklace is just PERFECT

Thank you azra and Lilpearl, that morsecode necklace was such fun to make. It really was one of my better idea.

The big white south sea pearl and another one is from Pearlescence, most of the drop tahitian pearls are from Cees, the 10 big circled peacock tahitians are from Druzydesign, the green south sea pearls are from Kongspearl, most of the small circled tahitians, the other white south sea pearls and the pale silver tahitians (or south seas, don't remember) are from my early pearl forager days. Some were bracelets, some mixed strands. I don't remember where I got them from=leftover pile.

Thank you eolian pearls. I had lots of fun making them. I made new extenders as well. They are really useful when I want to make a strand a little longer. I can wear all my strands on their own, but sometimes I want to add some lenght. I made one extender with golden south sea pearls and one with circled tahitians and one bigger white south sea pearl. They are both 5,5 inches long so they aren't really visible.

After my last restringing session I took a break from redoing pieces for a couple of days. I also didn't have any ideas about any transformation. Then I accidentally put my newly strung dropshaped freshwater ripples strand next to some purple beadnucleated freshwater pearls and some greenish golden south sea pearls that I had leftover from my other projects. Those purple and greenish golden pearls looked so pretty with the ripples, I had to try and combine them. First it looked kind of hideous and garish. So I took a break, made a lasagne and then I removed some ripples, mostly those with many colors in them and one pondslime colored one. I rearranged the purples and the greenish ones. And then suddenly it was rather pretty looking. I had to string it right away. I used beaders secret in aqua on these as well. The strand is now 23 inches long.
