My Pearls 2.0

Then I made the Sunshine strand. It's the most traditional one so far, but the colors are so happy and sunny that it reminds me of sunshine. I did make this one quite by accident. The pearls were previously a rope and I didn't think that the more cooltoned pearls, that would be the bluish white south sea pearls and some of the green ones, fit in. I also needed those pearls in my Oceans Wave strand, the bluish white that is, the green ones are in my autumn strand, Changing leaves. After removing those pearls, the remaining south sea pearls looked so happy and sunny that I decided to make a Sunshine strand out of them.

This strand has some of my favorite quirky circled south sea pearls. It's a true joy examining it, I always finds something new. The pearls are mostly from Druzydesign, with a few from Pearlescence. It does have it's own extender.

Mostly I use Pattyes Serafil in Fog and Mist for my painterly strands, well I think that I used Ivory for this one, and yesterday I had to make an emergency shopping spree of tread. I am down to one card of Mist and two of Fog, hopefully they last until the new ones arrive. Mist is great with cooltoned strands, like Night and Nightsky. Fog is great with the more warmtoned ones, with lots of different colors, like Sunset and Sunrise. I bought needles and gimp as well. I am hard on needles sometimes. I do use up a lot of tread when I remakes strands. Sometimes after wearing a strand for a couple of days I want to move just one pearl or something. The Sunset strand however was perfect at once.

I love the Sunrise strand too...it-s full of light, makes me feel like I can breathe better! Hard to explain this but I suffered from asthma during my childhood and somethings just make me feel like "I can breathe again!".

Thank you CortezPearls. I know just what you mean about not being able to breath. I have asthma as well, it's dreadful. Most of the time it's ok, lots of medication for it to stay controlled though. But when I get sick it takes forever to get well, like Now I have this terrible cough (not gotten the coronatest back yet, fully vaccinated though). I cannot even speak, then another cough attack. Most inconvinient. But at least I can sit by the window and play with pearls, so there is that. Yesterday I made a bracelet that I call Sunrise and Sunset with a green flash. It's really pretty and if you twist it just the right way there really is a green flash. No photos yet as I'm not well enough to travel. I just recently learned that there is a green flash at sunset sometimes, due to some optical illusion or something. The bracelet is being admired by smallest cat in said window sill just now. Tried to take a photo of her, but no too dark, she looks like a dark blob.

I do however have a photo of my newish autumn strand, Changing leaves. I did quite a lot of research for this one. Apparantly the swedish autumn is less vibrant in color than I thought and more gold and green.

It's more like a story strand than some of the others. I have purple asters, blue sky and one white cloud, the golden green leaves of some kind I don't know the name for, gold and green for the swedish forest colors and some vibrant maple leaves.

And the extender of course. Most of the pearls are from Druzydesign, with a few from Pearlescence, cmw pearls and Kongspearl.

I really like this one, it did not turn out a bit like I planned. I liked it so much that I made a Changing leaves bracelet that I will show you tomorrow.

With the Changing leaves strand. The pearls are mostly from Druzydesign with just a few from Pearlescence, cmw pearls and Kongspearl thrown in.

And I didn't have the dreaded plageue, just an annoying cold that keeps me from seeing Not-husbands beautiful granddaughter. She is such a joy and me missed a lot during the pandemic. Hopefully we can see her soon again

Thank you Marianne. I am so happy that I found out that freshwater pearls can be better than those early off round and ripple pearls I got years ago. For this next bracelet I used only tahitians however. The silver tahitians are from Cees, the green ones my leftover pile. This is Forest mist.

You might remember my earlier Mist project, well I ended up not liking that one. It lead to this however. I really like it and it's perfect with all those colorful edisons. You have to take my word for it. I cannot find the photos, maybe they were blurry and I deleted them. I did make an Oceans mist bracelet as well, but I have since remade that one. The old photos

The biggest reason being that big tahitian, it's very pretty but half of it is green. The new bracelet is more blue, with some darker blue colors as well. I will show it soon. I accually did make another Forest mist bracelet as well, the darker tahitians are so pretty with the silver ones.

Happy November everyone! Woke up feeling quite festive this morning and this thread simply makes any day start BRIGHTER :yup:
I actually dreamt of "orangey" colored pearls with faces...probably the Halloween effect ;)
Have a fantastic start of the month!

Thank you CortezPearls and a happy november to you as well. I haven't ever seen a carved pumpkin pearl, that would be something. Well the only carved pearls that I have accually seen myself are my two octopus pendants. Not-husband did give me some carving thinghys for my dremel, but haven't really done anything with them yet. I don't know how really. Here's a photo of my octopuses, being neither orange not pumpkin...

I have one more bracelet to show you, the other new creations aren't photographed yet. My Woodfire bracelet.

I have a remade Sunrise, a remade Nightsky to show you. Then a Forest mist bracelet, an Ocean mist bracelet and a Sunrise and Sunset with a green flash bracelet. Maybe some more if inspiration strikes. I thought that I had a good idea some nights before. I called it The Colors within...took an ombre strand, cut it in 4 pieces and added some other pearls in an ombre fashion, restrung it. Well it was suppose to look like those colors just slashes out. Well it didn't. I still think that it's a good idea. I also made a blue wrap bracelet that I need to tweak some.

I remember these :)
They are quite nice! Thanks for the re-share!

"Woodfire"...love the name :) And the colors are supple, earthy...
You are coming up with great creations AND great names too!

Thank you CortezPearls. Mostly the name comes to me when I am stringing the piece. I had been looking at photos of fire to make sure that I rememberd correctly. Most photos were of forest fires and of peoples houses burning up, didn't want to make anyone think of those when I wanted to show what the fire look like in our wood burning stove. We only use that when it's really cold, like - 10-20C (14F - - 4F), it's a draughty old house. Otherwise cashmere sweaters and sheepskin slippers will do (we have another heating device that somehow transforms outside air into inside warmth).
I am dreadfully bored, still with a tearing cough, trying to find a doctor (they don't want to see anyone with an infection). I would rather work. Thinking about making a bracelet with those tahitian keshis I bought from Druzydesign that I still haven't some anything with. Something with fairys I think.

It turned out that I yet another touch of pneumonia, when I finally did get hold of private doctor, my lungs did indeed sounds very bad and I instantly got antibiotics and are much better now. Luckily I caught it early this time, no hospital yay. I haven't had one in 6 years, have asthma and the lungs (or lungsacks or whatever they are called) some damage since previous pneumonias. No worries I am ok now, I only wished that some people would stay home with colds and not spread them further, like you should.
Since sitting upright most of the day, I have been getting really bored, read three books and crochet on an ombre (of course) scarf with colorful cotton yarn (those smallish ones for amigurumi) by night. The first two sections and my yarn outlay.

Well the scissors finally got the better of me...I have remade lots of strands. Well I have some new favorites and lots of loose pearls. I wanted to make a colorful version of that antique necklace in the other tread. This one.
image_50977.jpg
I have the clasp that is...
_20210620_163814.JPG
Then after cutting apart all those strands, I don't know maybe 6 of them, I didn't do that colorful version of the antique strand after all...
Suddenly I did get another idea. There were lots of my favorite pearls among those cut apart strands, colorful and or quirky ones. I made an endless somewhat ombre 27 inches long strand with my favorite pearls. It's not a true rainbow ombre, I let the pearls do the job for me and being in no kind of hurry payed with them for a while. I changed direction of the pearls ones, because there were several with two colors in one and otherwise my ombre effect wouldn't work. I call this one Hearts Delight and I like it very much. The pearls are mostly from Druzydesign, Pearlescence, Cees and cmw pearls, maybe the occational one from Kongspearl and Wen Pearls.

I have since made a bracelet, it's not exactly with the same layout, but with my favorite pearls in a somewhat ombre fashion. I haven't gotten any photos of it yet. That will take a while.
Some of the different sections of Hearts Delight

That was lots of photos. I love looking at the pearls are remembering where I got them from and when. Some I have had for years, there is one quirky looking teal tahitian pearl that I have used before that I have had for maybe 10 years and I don't remember where I got it from.

The teal pearl. I wish I had ones of those pens for drawing on phones...

It's like the grandmother of my pearls...

Oh, Charlotta, what a splendid strand. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been ill, but it seems you’ve been busy, too

Thank you SydK, well I am a terrible sick person, to impatient. I love that strand, I have it in the window sill just now so that I can see all those pretty colors

I am out of words to compliment your strands and your talent. That's why I often look but seldom reply.

Well done, Charlotta2.0! Hope you get better soon! :)
