Mom's Pearls

My dad bought these back in 1969/70 can anyone tell me a little about them and maybe what they are worth.

hard to tell much from the picture, a close up(macro) shot would be help. They look to be Akoya pearls though.

What does the printing on the inside of the lid say? Please show a close up of the clasp and a few more close up photos of the pearls themselves. What markings are on the clasp? 14K? 18K? sterling? What size is the middle pearl, and the ones on the end? They do appear to be Akoya pearls.

The case says mickey motto. the small ones at the end are 4mm and the bigger one in the middle is 7mm

It's says mikimoto pearls with their hallmark above it

Mikimoto pearls are very sought after. They seem to keep their value much better than many other pearls. Here are some completed ebay listings for them to give you some idea of what they've actually sold for recently. Of course, then you'd want to figure in variables like pearl size, strand length, metal used, etcetera (prices in green sold, the red ones did not). Hope this helps.
