Examples of Orient during Ruckus?

Just a reminder that there was discussion a few months ago regarding what, precisely, is "orient".

I hope the pearl experts attending the Ruckus can show us examples of orient versus overtone this weekend!!!

Overtone is the secondary color of a pearl. Orient is sort of a mirage, caused by thin film interference when light reflects from the different layers of nacre creating a new wave.

Color shift, iridescence or goniochromism are other terms to describe the orientation of an object's surface in which hue changes with the angle of observation and the angle of illumination.

The rainbow sheen of soap bubbles, is an example of orient.

Here's some trivia:
We use a goniometer to measure the angle a joint can move through (range of motion). Gonia = "angle" in Greek.
