Hi, I'm fresh to the pearl world and would like some advice and thoughts on my recent purchases. If they are "good" quality for the price and some places you could direct me next, in my search to get a bit of everything for my bracelet collection!

First one is round 9-10mm tahitian and freshwater pearls, second one is 9-11mm faceted silver tahitian pearls. Paid about 300$ each, what do you guys think?

Next I would love to get some golden south sea ones, any places or stores you guys recommend?

I think you got a great deal for both of them! Very nice pearls!
Thank you, I've never been a jewelry kind of guy, but I always loved how pearls shine. I was wondering something about care though, is it okay if I use stainless steel watches in the same wrist? I don't want to damage the pearls after a while

Hey @TamaJelly nice pearls and thank you sharing with us! I LOVE the faceted ones...I feel like faceted pearls today :)

And welcome to our pearl loving forum!

I would avoid the pearls and steel combo, to avoid damaging the pearls, but if they do not clash against each other (they stay put) I guess it would be OK to wear them toghether.

Thanks for the help @CortezPearls, and yeah I'm actually using the faceted ones today lol. I'm planning to modify it with an extra faceted in gold I got today. I have some more bracelets on the way and I can't wait to share them here

And if you feel like wearing your pearly creations and taking some "pearl selfies" be sure to share them on the "Show us Your Pearls in Action" thread! :D

I recommend checking out the tags on the posters here as well as where people got their pearls from in the "Show us Your Pearls in Action" thread.

Thanks, will do. I forgot I also had this one too, seller told me they were peacock tahitian, but he wasn't sure cause they were part of an auction. Either way I like them, though I might have to change the clasp cause I never liked filigree ones, it's hard to get a good picture but in person it's even prettier

They are dyed Chinese freshwater pearls, and that is quite an interesting design.
Yeah I imagined so, cause afterwards I couldn't find more, when I tried to Google similar designs, thanks for the info. I'll try to get better pictures when I get back home

It is an interesting design! Would like to see another shot of this piece.

It's hard to get the colors right but I tried my best to showcase the form
Great form and yes, I agree, a different clasp would be good.
I don't wear bracelets but always enjoy seeing other people wearing them - have you seen Charlotta's Happy Bracelets in her thread?

I just did and loved it, beautiful colors and shapes. I might even try something like that with my less used stuff
