VERY NICE !
Cheers Blaire.
How about a photo of them on ? ;)

P.S.
Is this the only place in the world where people shout "put 'em on" ?
:D

That's too funny! The sun is going over the hill, so no more photos for now. Callire can take one of her pink one. It looks nice on. In fact, it's more subtle than I thought. Which is good -- I don't want to stop traffic! ;)

Nope, I'll check the mailroom on Monday though ;) I hope I like them! I spent way too much money on a new dress (it has pockets!)... and I'm planning on buying a strand of Tahitian baroques from PP in the next 2 months. Eh, yeah, I hope I don't have to return them!

Something about that pesky 12%. :(

I adore pockets in dresses. That was one of the reasons that I used to do a lot of sewing. ;)

I absolutely love those. Blaire, I'm so jealous! Wear them in the best of health!

Thanks! Can you imagine having to do the matching on those necklaces? My eyes hurt just thinking about it. ;)

Blaire, they are just beautiful. Pics please... pearls just come so much more alive when they are being worn..

Lovely purchase, congrats and enjoy!

Ohhhh, yes.
Although, as I mentioned on another thread, I like to mix various shades and so don't match colours exactly, the mixing of shades and hues and at the same time graduating the size, has driven me nuts this week.
More than once I nearly threw the whole lot across the room....

And then to come back to it after a coffee break and find that the light has changed and I've got it wrong again......

Blaire and Callire,

congratulations on those lovely strands. Sueki I know just what you mean....

It gets frustrating with the matching. I bought a lot of pearls off ebay, and was contemplating making something like that. They're all supposed to be the same size, but for some reason, only 8-9mm peachy pink pearls were closer to the stated size, the others were all smaller. If I have the darker lavenders in the middle, they would be really small and noticeable, while the peachy ones will look oddly huge at the side. I think I might just separate out the ones that don't have metallic luster and make a rough strand to play with. I just bought a pair of digital vernier calipers as well. Then the color matching ... some of the lavenders look a bit more peach and so can be the bridge between the really dark and peachy pearls. I'm giving myself a headache just thinking about it. My findings haven't arrived so I don't want to unstring the hanks in case I lose something. And I don't want more excuses to get pearls I don't need.

I have found I've really enjoyed matching and making the untreated pearls collection from about 30 strands I got in - all sorts of combinations and some still lurking. Now - since I have cleaned out my supplier, we are both waiting to see what the next harvest brings!

Hi Blaire,
Congratulations! The 2nd picture really shows the orient. On my PC, I can see green orient on some of those pearls. :)

Raisondetre,
Sound frustrating. Be sure to show your strand when you are done. I have everything except the beading board.

Callire, you'll be a knockout in that dress. Now, which strand to wear? Or which pendant? ;)
