Loose Pearl Matched Blacks

I got mine yesterday and am wearing them now - they are BREATHTAKINGLY beautiful. I can't stop looking at them. I want matching studs too, and why not bracelets?? I figured the next batch would be in a larger size, but I'm quite happy with these. You're brilliant Jeremy!

The black pearls are just stunning

The black pearls are just stunning

I received my strand last week on the same day my 9-10 AAA white FWP pearls arrived.

Holy Moly.

Both necklaces are absolutley stunning and I have worn one or the other every chance I have had.

I have looked at many dyed FWP in stores and none of them looked good enough for me to even consider. Hubby agreed that it was best to wait til the budget fits the Tahitians.

But these are just gorgeous!
A very successful experiment!

Hello Jeremy,

I have been gone on holiday and wearing my new black freshwater pearls (Freshadamas) every chance I get. I have had lots of complements on them especially from jewelers. Some thought they were Tahitians. One asked how much I paid for them and when I told them how I happened to come by them they said that I was very lucky to have them. Just thought you would like to know how they were being received. Thanks for the beautiful pearls.:)

Jeremy,

Are these the same as what you have on offer for your January monthly special? (I'm after a wee birthday treat for myself to join my Freshadama and Tahitian & SSP baroque strands!)

Thanks!
Rebecca

They may remain a novelty of sorts.
Thoughts? The strand below is 7-7.7mm.[/QUOTE].

Jeremy,
please let me know which e-mai address I can use to get a large mail through. I sent one yesterday through the Forum but have not seen any reply. As there are some photos attached, there could be a problem. The file is large, ca. 1,2 Mb.

Greetings

On my pearl strand that I bought is the same clasp that is in your picture (and I hate it!). Is this a really good clasp or something? Its very cumbersome and hard for me to do by myself...

It is just a standard fishhook clasp. It is solid, however, not filigree. This is the most common clasp used with pearls. There are a lot of options, however, but those clasps work the best for mass appeal.

I agree the clasp isn't the easiest. However, I turn it around and hook in the front, looking in the mirror, not just trusting to feel. The plus to the clasp is that it clicks in, but if that part comes loose it is still fastened around your neck by the hook part, and is a small enough clasp not to be distracting from the strand of pearls.

IMO, Pattye
