September Pearl Paradise Tahitians

Luvglitz you are a pearl queen! Your strands are exquisite and look lovely on you. They do not look small at all and the luster oh my just terrific. Enjoy your beauties.

So I snapped up this baby strand of AA+ silver ovals. I think they are 6.5-8mm.What do you guys think?

I've asked PP to hold off on shipping and to send me more photos. I love tiny pearls and these look lovely to me but another option is to purchase a lot of 8mm circled pearls from Jac and string my own.

Loveglitz, you indeed look like a glamorous queen of an exotic country somewhere! There's certainly nothing "small" about that look, and it's glorious!!!

Love glitz looking fab! .

Hanadama it looks lovely. How bout asking for some natural daylight shots. Should help you to judge better.
8mm circle sounds great too. I'll be evil and say get both! You know you want to

Luvglitz, your Tahitian rope looks beautiful on you, and it doesn't look small at all!

Hanadama, those PP pearls look stunning! Loose circle pearls are fab, too. But I agree with Kalmen...perhaps both??!!

Hanadama, my new baby Tahitian silver AA+ ovals are 7-8mm and look a millimeter or more larger because of the oval shape, so I don't think that strand will look too small on you.

I would snap up that oval strand. They look round from any kind of distance at all and seem hard to find. I lurve me some bang for the buck.

Then, if you do get a circle Tahitian strand too, I'd get pearls that are both larger and darker than the ovals. I have a strand of larger, darker circle pearls and it seems like it goes with a different look, fills a different gap. I'd rather have two that were a lot different from each other. Unless you'd want to wear them together, that is. Just my two coppers. Let us know what you get!

Thank you kalmen, lmgarden and sea urchin! I've requested natural light photos, will let you know how I go.

Sea Urchin - do you have any close ups of your AA+ ovals? Do they look really silver IRL and are the blemishes very noticeable? I love how my pearls look in the neck shot but in the last photo, the three pearls to the far right look kinda meh.

Also, thanks for your advice about choosing a different look for my second strand. I was planning on purchasing 8mm circled round pearls in the multicolour and peacock mixes but maybe I should wait and get something bigger. Or make a rope!

Ooooh, I wanted one of those baby strands - but they sold out before I woke up :)

Ladies, please share your secret with me. How do you make PP include some extra services (like retaining the shipping) or get them make your pearl projects? (stringing etc). It's just that I've got in contact with them about a month ago regarding custom-setting one pearl and we still haven't even arrived to price estimation :( The gaps in replies from them is on-two weeks. I really wanted that pearl set and shipped with their silver tahitians (which I was going to buy) before November, but I now kind of doubt we can manage it :(
Any secrets here? Or am I just such an unintresting client?))

What? That's so weird. I've found turn around time for replies to be typically 24 hours, mostly because of the time difference. But then again I've not put in any requests for custom jewellery - restringing, drilling services, requesting photos yes, but nothing complicated. And I don't know if it's a coincidence but I always get Erin, and she is wonderful! Have you tried calling?

Lugana, PP is very quick to reply emails. Perhaps your mail went astray? Try resending it or call if you live in US...

I've been quickly connected with John, their designer, and the communication happens through their support platform (i.e. not through emails, but somewhere on their website). And this goes rather slow.. literally slow, and we are nowhere near making wax models etc now (which could indeed take time). I'm not complaining, but it's just I do start worrying about the timing :) anyone knows other jewellers probably?..

Hanadama, I vote for you rejecting the baby tahitians. Because I want them :D even though I did contact Jac regarding circled ones as well)))) oooops))

Lugana there's no secret. Pearl Paradise reputation is built on excellent customer service. They want you to be happy with your pearls. I do know that they recently just changed their website and there were a few glitches. If you are in the U.S. Please call if not do a web chat. John their designer might just be backed up. If there's a reason you need this project please let him know so he can try to accommodate you.

I know about their excellence in service, and I did assume that maybe John was on vacations or something like that. It's just that I'm getting worried about the date. Thanks for the advice - I will give them a call today and also will make sure John is aware of the date (I don't think I did before). And I must point out that I am a rubbish client indeed as I always change my mind a few times during the work)) but hopefully it will work out)

my new necklace has arrived. I certainly love the crisp luster of these Tahitians

Lugana, yes that's one of the silvers or whites. They change colors sometimes they look pistachio, sometimes gold. But they are silver body color with gold overtones. I plan neckshot tomorrow in natural light.
