Sea Hunt Pearls, Jack Lynch, and the Souffle' Pearl

It's a celebration of souffl?'s! I'm so glad it put you in the mood to share your photos. :)

Souffles are very easy to celebrate, in my book!

I'd love to see others' souffle pictures.

I'm thinking it's the only famous souffle' pearl photo, but I'll take it! ;) This was not our first look at metallic pearls, but they were still very rare -- and the colors surpassed the fireballs of the time. Look at my screaming green baby! :)

Blaire you need to take pictures and post them of all three of your green babies. Are they still set in copper?

I unset my green pearls and I am not sure where they are. When I find them, I will do something new with them, probably not the brass again, but it was great fun. :)

Thought you might like to see some of the lower quality souffles. I'll take a few pics tomorrow also, as these are with the light box. These pearls have a more satiny finish, different from the bright metallic beauties. Some strands are silvery with an antique gold overtone. The others have a blue cast with some pastel tones. I'm still figuring out what to do with these!

pattye -- do you know when those were grown? Are those "early" souffles? I bet the nacre is extremely thick -- you have a mass of nacre!

Well, if you do smash one, please show us the nacre thickness.

I wonder what factors lead to metallic souffles with various colors...

I love the size of your pictures! Those look terrific in that lighting. They're not metallic, but have a nice soft glow.

Those are beautiful souffles, Pattye!

In the interest of more eye candy, here are some of mine (all from PP).

Thanks, Cathy. It's a super strand that I got from PP a year ago and a very special piece.

It's such a unique experience to wear these substantial pearls that are so light. It's counterintuitive-- I completely forget that it's on!

Wow gorgeous colors Babynurse, love your choices. Everything in this thread is making me wanting a souffl? strand or pendant.

Souffle pendants are wonderful, too!
