ANd there were this famous Fouquet abalone pendant, that Sheri wanted to take away !
This is an image that has been published and is public, but more fun to put it here than to put the link

Hmmmmph...would have been even more fun to pin it to the front of one of my corsets...

More fun to see a photo that to go to the link,
so this is just a snapshot of the necklace of Mary queen of Scots, I think it is River Tay pearls, they have a very special glow, impossible to describe, there were also the Abernaty as I said, I am lucky to have a small brooch with Tay pearls, a white glow that has something "dark and sad", hard to explain, evocative of a cloudy sky, but captivating.
Very emotionnal to see it in real.

More later ...

Oh how wonderful! Since I can't be there, at least I can buy myself the book for my birthday this month.

Well, I just received my book, ordered from Amazon. The photos are fabulous and though I've barely started reading would say it's money well spent. Book was under $30, also bought the special flashlight to check out my Sea of Cortez pearls, too. Together was just over $40 with free shipping. (No tax in OR.)

Enjoy your new book Pattye! I put it on my wish list

Oh, Amazon has 30% off until tomorrow! Any expensive pearl books anyone can think of that can be bought through Amazon? (30% off special is only good on ONE book, might as well take advantage of it!)
