Hi,

I have recently purchased earrings with Akoya pearls from Pacific Pearls International. They are an Australia-based company that turned out to be Chinese.
This is the certificate.

Here are the pearls.

There is a denture on one of them, you can see it here.

Also, the color (or rather the luster?) of the pearls is not even, on both of them there is a line between a more lightly colored part and the less light part (or more lustrous vs. less lustrous), hardly noticeable, but if you turn them around and pay attention to it, you can see it. I hope you know what I mean, I could not catch that on photo.

It seems to me these are not AAA. But maybe I'm wrong?

Thank you all,
Vlad

Hi Jeremy, thanks for your reply. What about the denture, is that considered a defect? Or is that normal even for the best of akoyas? And what about the spot on the pearl where the light is reflected a bit differently (lighter on one sight and darker on the other), if I am being clear?

Basically, I would love to know if these pearls are good. I would be hard pressed to find a pearl expert here.
