Two pearl necklaces...need help to identify pearls

First necklace: gritty, 14KG clasp, 16", 9mm approx

Any help would be appreciated! I have other photos if needed...clasps are the same on both sides

Welcome! Please give us some additional history on your pearl necklaces. When acquired and where; that sort of thing. The photos are a little out of focus to see blemishes, which are often an additional clue to the type of pearl. Perhaps you could take a couple more photos. If using a camera, use the flower setting to get really close to a section.

Yes, you do have genuine cultured pearls, and very pretty, wearable necklaces! The bottom strand is likely freshwater, the top necklace could be baroque akoya.
 
Hi Pattye, thanks for the input so far. Well they are vintage but other then that I have no information on their history since my aunt passed away quite a few years ago. She lived in CA but was from Texas originally and mostly collected Native American jewelry. Otherwise I have no clue but will try to take some better photos this week.
