To Knot or Double Knot? That is the question

Interesting. I rarely knot these days, but I have a lot of Griffin silk so I feel compelled to use it. When I double-knot, I tie it with the two threads as one and then do it again, encapsulating the first knot. I'm sure I could benefit from a knotting "clinic"!
