Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I'm loving all the keshis! Today I am wearing some baby bead nucleated freshies from one of PP's livestreams with Vietnamese baroque blue akoyas and some baroque WSS studs from another PP livestream last June.

I am extra proud of these studs because I was finally brave enough to drill them myself. I've drilled plenty of freshwater pearls but never anything else because I was not confident enough in my skills. I'm still not brave enough to drill the loose Fijian and SoC pearls from live events though so they will be going to PP soon to be drilled.

Kasumi and Ripples from Kojima and Pacific Pearls. The two strands are Chinese ripples. I only kept the paler strand because I use it to make a rope out of the more intense strand I bought later. The pendants and earrings are Kasumi pearls. I usually wear the pendants on my mother's hoop earrings because they're both on the smaller side and they have similar bails and sizes. I bought the ruby bail first, and the diamond bail second, and that's the only way I can tell them apart.

OKAY! Who bought the Kasumi / Akoya 20" ombre' strand from Kojima out from under me? It was on Instagram and it never even hit the website. (JEG, I'm looking at you.)

PJs and Pearls. I'm not getting dressed today and you can't make me. But pearls are a must.

All Kamoka Tahitians again today. Black and white studs. This pair goes with everything. My All Josh 2019 Harvest necklace. This is the only harvest necklace that is all near rounds. This necklace is neck and neck (so to speak) with my natural white Hanadama rope as being my best necklace.

I love the white flying saucer that's directly across from the black Death Star.

It looks better next to skin.

The white pearl is actually a subtle pale blue. And the black pearl has a purple halo.

That is a gorgeous necklace, BWeaves.

I went with goldens today. The pendant is golden akoya keshis from the very first Takahashi live event with PP and the earrings are tiny 8ishmm GSS studs from Ocean's Cove om Etsy. They have the loveliest rose overtones that I can't get a good picture of since it's stormy and almost black outside today.

Can't post a picture wearing these goodies because I got my lunch all down the front of my white shirt 🫣

I absolutely love that pendant-- tried to get it on that PP live, but you beat me to it! Please post it often so I can enjoy it from afar!

I rewatched the live from Hong Kong that you got that tin cup from the other day and I am glad I wasn't able to be on that stream at the time. I would have wanted one of those so bad.

I'm a weirdo and I sometimes put the old lives on in the background during work for noise. I have re-learned so many things by doing that. I also get some pretty intense non-buyers remorse from it too though.

Feeling blue. Vintage freshwater pearls. 100% pearl nacre! No shell bead at the center of any of these pearls. Lapis Lazuli beads and 18K gold beads. The Rice Krispie pearls are 1990s era freshwater pearls from China. The near round pearls are "Freshadamas" from Pearl Paradise. I replaced the dull, 7mm Japanese akoya pearls that the lapis necklace originally had with high quality, 9mm, near round, non-bead nucleated, freshwater pearls from China, and now the necklace really glows. The large feather pearl pendant from Kojima Pearl, is from Mississippi mollusks. I used to think Mom's earrings were lapis, too, but one cabochon has a faint star, so I believe they are sapphires. Moonstone and sapphire ring.

@BWeaves I love that Keshi and GSS necklace! So gorgeous.

@lary007 well I’m glad I’m not the only one! When I discovered the lives, there were quite a few recorded, and I had just had my second baby. Over maternity leave I watched the old ones and learned so much. Also they are such a soothing background noise that they would help my baby fall asleep! 😂

@SurfnSci I love the length of that strand and the color of those pretty keshi!

It has been so hot…and humid. So I’ve been mostly wearing this rainbow stretchy bracelet from Misha Hawaii with Tahitians, GSSs, white Edisons and pink Edisons. I’ve been enjoying mixing it with different things. Today I’ve got Tahitian studs and yesterday I had some pink pearl drops - I love mixing earrings with all 4 colors here. When the heat index drops below 100 I can start contemplating necklaces once again 😅

WoWZA! gorgeous!

Oh, I've been bad. I ordered a couple of stuffed shells from Kojima. They're very cute, but they didn't suite me and I couldn't work the clasps.

However, I also ordered these dyed freshies with aquamarine beads and I love both of them. They go well with my asymmetrical wire wrapped earrings from Kojima, and my new mismatched baroque Tahitian earrings from Kamoka. The two necklaces stack well together.

I normally find pearls to feel warm and organic on my neck. But because of the aquas, these feel like ice, which is very cooling in the hot Florida weather.

I'm sorry, I can't get enough of my new freshies. Pearls normally feel warm and organic on my neck, but these feel like cool ice. Great summer pearls for hot, humid Florida. Morning light photographs better than the artificial light I used in the previous post.
